Kol slowly opened his eyes, the fresh sunlight hitting his face. He saw a hand over his face patting a warm cloth on his forehead, but he couldn't tell who it was. It was when the hand shifted a bit where he was able to recognize her.

"Bonnie?" He exclaimed, in a grudged voice.

"Oh, you're awake! That's awesome. I was starting to worry that you wouldn't wake up," She said, casually.

He tried to sit up on the bed, but hissed when he felt a sharp pain in his shoulder and slowly lowered himself back into his sleeping position. Bonnie rested her hand on his chest to stop him from sitting up. "Ah, ah, ah! Your body needs time to heal after all the trauma it faced last night."

Kol rubbed his eyes, and groaned in pain as Bonnie used the warm cloth to pat his shoulder.

"Oh, sorry about that," She said, lifting the cloth off of him.

"No, it's fine. Although I am a bit confused. My vampire healing should have kicked in by now," He said, puzzled at the idea of still being in pain hours later.

"You may be a vampire, but you're still in a human body. A lot of magic was inside of your system, the effects of it don't just go away in a split second," She said, gently patting the sides of his shoulder again.

Kol clenched his jaw and threw his head back, groaning in pain.

Bonnie sighed, "Again, sorry about that. At least now you'll remember what humans have to go through each time they injure a bone just as bad as you have."

"What about you? You look perfectly fine and the spell did much more damage to you than it did to me," He asked, severely surprised.

Bonnie shrugged. "Honestly, I don't know. I woke up this morning and felt better than ever. I haven't felt that in a long time. In this case, my immune system kicked some butt."

Kol chuckled at her remark.

Bonnie dipped the towel in the hot water and squeezed it as dry as possible. She then folded it and placed it on top of Kol's forehead. Bonnie stood up from the bed, and reached for the blood bag on the table that she got for him, then handed it to him. It was warm and fresh straight from Klaus's stash. Kol took it and narrowed his eyes, "Thank you?"

"You're welcome. Now drink up– your body needs it after the torture its faced for a good three hours," Bonnie insisted. She stood there with her arms crossed waiting for him to drink it. He just stared right back at her, not even putting it near his mouth.

"I'm sorry, but don't you think it's a little awkward to watch me as I indulge in blood?" Kol questioned.

Bonnie rolled her eyes. "Oh, please. You're acting like you haven't fed off of multiple people in front of me. I've seen you in your darkest moments. Drinking from a blood bag wouldn't count as one of them. I need to watch you drink it. It'll help you regain some strength and speed up the healing process as it normally would."

Kol sighed, and took a sip in front of Bonnie. Kol's eyes widened and he began to indulge in it even more; like he couldn't get enough of it. Bonnie was right. He began to feel better than ever.

Bonnie gave him a look of, I told you so. "See, it wasn't so hard, was it?"

"Not at all. Thank you, darling," He said, dropping his pride.

A smile grew on her face. "I'm happy to help."

Kol smiled right back at her, and couldn't help but admire her beauty. He felt so lucky to have her in his life.
