Me and Chi were sitting at Little Man's house with him and Keish. When I tell you the last couple days have been so nice, I really mean it. Me and Martin basically share Malachi and when Little Man came around, Chi took to him so well. I thought that was a good sign, kids usually can sense when a person isn't right but he likes him. Currently they were playing around on the floor while I finished helping Keisha make sure her math homework was correct. After looking it all over, she got every single one right. I passed it to her.
"You're good!" I told her.
"Thank you! When you showed me the other way to do it, it made it way simpler. Thank you so much!" she said happily and I smiled at her.
"You're welcome, any time." I said to her as she went and took everything on up to her room. I focused my attention back on these two and I see Chi was on Little Man's back and Little Man was crawling him around. I loved hearing his little laugh, I knew he was having so much fun.
"Potty." he finally said clear as day.
"Okay, come here." I said as I went and took him to the bathroom and helped him wash his hands. "All done?" I said and he put his hand up to give me a high five. We came back out in the living room and Little Man had put on Paw Patrol and Chi went and sat down in front of the TV. We walked into the kitchen.
"You're good with him." I said as we sat down at the table.
"Of course, I love kids." he said as he took a drink of his water.
"It shows." I said and he looked at me.
"Plus kids always seem to gravitate towards me. Always been like that." he said to me and I nodded.
"You have a good spirit." I told him.
"Not nearly as great as yours." he said as we locked eyes. "Did you blush?" he said with a slight laugh.
"Did I?" I said as I repositioned myself in the chair and he laughed.
"You did, that's cute though." he said to me. "Can I ask you something?" he asked and I nodded. "Do you like being over here?" he asked me.
" do, it's peaceful. It's always so chaotic at my house that it's a good contrast." I said as he set his bottle down and reached across the table and grabbed ahold of my hands. "That's good, when something brings you peace, you always go towards it." I couldn't lie he had a way with words, but of course he's a rapper just like me.
"Is that what you want?" I asked him.
"Yes. But I want you to want the same things though. Like I said, no rush. I'm willing to win you over and I know that can take some time and that's cool D. You're worth it." he said as he got up from the table and started cooking. I sat there thinking about what he had just said to me and let them words resonate in my spirit for a minute. I got up to check on Chi and he was sound asleep on the couch. I came back in the kitchen and walked up on Little Man to see what he was making. I looked over his shoulder and he looked over at me. "Try it." he said as he put the spoon up to my lips and I did try the broth, it was good.
"You might just know what you're doing in here." I said to him and he laughed.
"Had to learn early on." he said as I took a step to the side of him. He looked in my eyes before he lifted me up and set me down on the kitchen counter and he came and stood between my legs. We stared into each other's eyes for what felt like an eternity before I grabbed him by his shirt and pulled him to me. When our lips met, I felt this familiar pounding between my thighs. Man...I felt the same way the other night when I was on him but like always I resisted the urge. I pulled away from him and he was looking in my eyes. "What's wrong?" he asked me. "Nothing..." I said as I caught my breath.
"I feel it too..." he said to me. "...stop trying to fight it." he said as he placed his lips back on mine and I could now see what he meant by being turned on so much by a kiss. He ended up backing up himself and I looked down and saw why. I cannot lie, he was definitely packing. He fixed himself for a moment. "I'm sorry." he said to me as he washed his hands and went back to stirring.
"Don't be." I told him and he glanced over at me. "I want to...I can't lie. But I don't want to complicate anything between us." I told him as he put the vegetables in the broth and covered it. "You could never complicate anything by doing that. But I want you to be sure first, because I don't be out here like that. Contrary to what they say about rappers, I'm not out here trying to sleep with the world. When I do get physical, it's only with that one person. And I would love for that to be you, when you're ready though." he said as he moved the hair away from my eyes.
"I believe you. But Kevin...all I ask is that you be careful with me."
"You don't even have to tell me that. See with a real one, you don't have to ask them to be real. I wouldn't hurt you, because that would hurt me." he said as he walked away and came back with this box. "Open it." he told me. It was this beautiful bangle that said Diamond on it. "Me and Depth came up with the name for you. Because you know pipes burst under pressure, but diamonds..."
"...Are made under pressure." we said together as he put it on my wrist.
"Thank you!" I said and I was so shocked by that gift.
