I couldn't believe that I was really in the waiting room about to see about this modeling thing. My nerves were insane right now, I'm never like this. I'm always the most confident person, but for some reason with this, I was the biggest ball of nerves. I'm so glad Charles was by my side but this was such a weird feeling. I looked over at him and he was staring at me. "Relax nena."he said as he squeezed my hand to try to help relax me. "I'm trying." I said feeling a bit more calm than I was initially. I couldn't stop fidgeting. "Mentirosa! You haven't stop moving around and shaking your leg. Remember, they want you. He reached out and talked to you. No matter how this goes, you're no more or less perfect!" I don't know why it was so simple for him to calm me, even if the world is chaotic. He is my peace. "Iris, Charles. You can come with me." The receptionist said as she lead us back to the office to meet with Larry. It was so many beautiful pictures that caught my eye on the way there and to think maybe one day this could be me. But did I really want that?? "Laurence, they're here for you." The receptionist said as she opened the door for us and he waved us on in. I took a look around, this was definitely nice. "Please come, have a seat." he said with a smile as we sat down in the comfy arm chairs that he had sitting across from his big wraparound desk. Everything was glass and beautiful. "I see you." Charles said to him as he looked around too. "You like? I tried something new when we got this place built. It had to rival the last office, so this is what we came up with." he said as he too looked around. "You did good." Chuckie told him. "Why thanks young grasshopper." he said as we all shared a laugh. "So...Ms. Iris, I was waiting quite some time for you to put that card to use. But I think I grow impatient easily. I had to get you here." he said as he gave us both a bottle of water. "So...you having reservations about modeling or is it just accepting the possibilities?" he asked me. "I guess it's really the accepting of the possibilities. I never considered the thought." I said. "Charles you're disappointing me bro. You never let your lady know." he said jokingly. "Her confidence is through the roof, trust me she don't need me to tell her anything." he said. "So a completely confident woman, can't see herself modeling? What am I missing?" he asked. "To be honest, I'm not the salad eating type of woman. I eat, eat! So of course my weight is one thing. Most models aren't in the lower double digits in clothing. They're either bony or big." I said and he smiled as he got up and picked up a book and handed it to me. "So...clearly you're hip to Fashion Nova, right?" he said as I flipped through some pages. "Most of their models, came through here. Your physique is perfect for most of the clothing that they sell. They want to see it on someone with curves. You're naturally beautiful so anything would look exquisite on you. Modeling isn't always the stuff anorexic women nor is it all the heavier body positive movement type either. There are spots for the people in-between. And you're more like the everyday girl. The one who has more curves but still has a flattering shape. One that doesn't need a pound of makeup and still effortlessly gorgeous. You're literally everything I've been waiting on and I happened to lay eyes on you." he said and I guess I never looked at it like that, but he brought up a good point though. I didn't even think about the fact that there is clothing, that of course would like fire on me, and my body type is to die for. I don't see how there could be any harm in this though. "Speechless?" he asked. I started to come out of my trance. "My apologies, I was just taking in what you were saying." I said as I looked up. "You're fine, a woman of few words. That's different." he said with a slight giggle. "Not this one! Few words is definitely the complete opposite of what she really is like. This might just be some 'first meeting jitters' or something." Charles said. "Basta!" I said and we all laughed. "Eres Hilarante." Larry responded. "Why thank you! Your Spanish is pretty good for a gringo." I told him. "Gracias. I think." We all laughed again. I don't know what I was ever nervous for because this was going quite well in the end. "De nada." I said to him. He got up and came around to our side of the desk and sat there. "So...realistically, at this point I usually check to see if this is something you may be interested in and we can schedule a shoot to give you a feel of of what a typical day would be like. I know you guys are pretty busy with your own thing going and I completely respect that. So we can schedule around your schedule. How does that sound?" he asked. I looked over at Chuckie and he was looking at me. "That works. We have a small tour coming up soon, so it would probably be like 3 months out." Charles told him and he smiled. "Great! That works for me. I'll definitely put together a team for you and I absolutely look forward to shooting you." he said and then he laughed. "Of course not pew pew shoot, but I'm ready for my close up shooting you." he said and I laughed. He was definitely a lil cornball, but at the same time, I respected him for being himself. "I look forward to it." I said as we stood up and him and Charles shook hands before he grabbed mine and squeezed it in gratitude. We walked out of there and for once I think I was feeling different. Maybe there was more to life than the streets.
