"You want my honest opinion?" Riek asked me as we walked to the benches after the game we all just played. "Hell yeah man, because maybe I'm wrong as fuck. I need to know for real." I said to him. "I think your emotions is so wrapped up in this girl because you've never felt the type of support that she gives you. I don't think you're wrong for your outburst, but shit it all takes time. Shorty knows the game that we're in, but like most women, she can't separate the two. Not everyone is Iris bruh. It ain't that you came across strong, it was just direct as hell." he told me. "Direct is cool when you're dealing with a female that's cut and dry. But you're dealing with an emotional being. She was front row center to some crazy shit, she need time brody." Mar said. "And also you gotta stop treating Suki the same way you treated Dom." Tony said and I'm certain I looked confused as fuck. "Yeah that's the face that I expected. Hear me out, Dom is like one of the fellas..." we all laughed a little. "...you can be direct and straight to the point and it's all good. You don't have to worry about the emotional side to that. But she's in the like 3% of women that's okay with. Suki on the other hand wears her heart on her sleeve. The reason why y'all are where you're at right now is because she's been open and very vulnerable when it comes to you. You have to deal with her as such." I'm not gonna lie, he made complete sense to me right now. "That too. Each woman is different. I don't treat none of mine the same, because I just cannot. Erica, Araya, and India are all different." Riek said. "So wait Depth's name is India?" Tony said and we all laughed at that one. "Yeah bruh." Riek said after we all chilled out. "Okay, shit I had to make sure there wasn't a new one." We all laughed even harder at that. "I mean we're not against that, but everything has to fall in line accordingly." Riek said. "Aww man you trippin...that's too many women my guy." I said as we all laughed. "I know I didn't just hear J Hay say that one." Mar started in on me. "Say it one more time so we can make sure we heard it right." Charles said as everyone leaned in towards me. "Y'all got jokes. I'm just saying, 3's a lot, but more than three...wooooooo." I can't even imagine. "Man the old Jay would have never." Tony said and they laughed. "Facts, because from everything I've ever heard about you...yeah one was never enough." C Money said and Mar nodded in agreement. "I mean, you might as well come over to the other side bruh. At least when you do it like me, everyone is happy. They all know about each other and we work together as a unit. The other way just leads to destruction. I'd rather build than destroy." Riek said. "I been told him that shit. But to be real, I learned something about Jay over time..." Mar started as I directed my attention to this shit. "...Jay is used to being chased, so he's always been the prize in the end. But when he finds a prize, he's hooked." "I think we might be having revelations this here day." Tony said. I sat there and thought about it for a minute. Damn...he might be right. "That might be true." I said and couldn't even deny that one. "You gotta start making choices that reflect what you want others to view you as. The more high quality your woman or women are, the higher you're seen as. I don't just mean as in looks but as in status, how she carries herself and such. You can have a flock of hoes and never seen as more than the average nigga. I may have 3 women, but I made sure they were quality women. They're all different but still up in status. You got hooked to the ones who were of better quality. You felt the need for quantity when their quality was in question. So you went from being love to being in love again so quickly because of them." Riek broke it down for us. "That actually makes sense. Plus coupling that with the fact that you have a strong mother and was raised by her, kinda makes it easy for you to see quality. See the last 2 met your mom because you see pieces of her in them. This is why you were able to remain faithful." C said. "I mean that's what it boils down to." Tony said. "So what y'all saying?" I asked as I grabbed my towel to dry off my face. "Go get your girl or be Humphrey Bogart dude." Mar said and they all laughed at that. "Mannnnn she ain't about to walk off with some corny mf when I'm right here." I said. "Humphrey probably thought the same thing about Ingrid." Tony said. "Go on bruh. You just gotta make her feel secure with you. You got this!" Riek said. "Thanks Riek and C Money. I appreciate y'all." I said. "Oh so I guess we're invisible now." Mar said to Tony. "If I hit you with this right hook, you gone know I'm here." T said as they laughed. "Being here and being helpful are 2 different things." I said as I started picking my things up. "We're just not philosophical like them, but we did all just agree." Tony said. "True. Either way, I'm out y'all. I gotta go talk to shorty for real." I said as I walked off back to my car and immediately called Suki. "Hello." she said softly. "Where are you?" I asked her. "On my way home. Why?" she asked. "Don't go in the house once you get there. I'm on my way." I said to her and she sighed. "Okay." she said before hanging up. I'm not even sure if I was about to use the right words at all, but I can't act as if I don't understand where she's coming from in the end. But what I do, isn't who I am and I just need her to really see that.
