I loved the energy going on in this room. Everybody showed up wanting to be in the top spot. Our label was showing the fuck out for the night for sure. But I couldn't lie, these others were trying to give them a run for their money for sure. The hosting was on point for the battles too. Kev and D brought that energy. Aries and Cinco were killing the hosting, because they literally rapped the introductions to the next battle. I loved to see all of it. Even Cochise surprised us all but batting too. Cat really had some bars too. I was proud of each and everyone of them. But when I say them group battles were the biggest hits. Influx, Diamond, Paradox, and Onyx as a group could not be fucked with. They absolutely won their battle and the final round too. Cinco killed his battle too, his poor opponent didn't stand a chance. Riek never even let his opponent get a word in. Almost unheard of in the battle scene. We were at the last one of the night and it was for the newcomers. Not gonna lie I was a little nervous for Shakes, but we gone see what she can do. Her opponent wasn't no slouch at all and she was getting with her.                      
"Go back to the pageant life boo, you don't belong out here. You belong in the salon asking questions like 'so I can do everything with this like human hair'." Charisma said as the crowd laughed. Shakes face didn't look pleased at all but she just nodded.                                      
"Hmmm. Okay then Charisma! You came ready. What you got Shakes?" Kev said before stepping back to let Shakes do her thing.                                  "You said I don't belong here, but you pretending like you jumped off the porch. Even if I let you win shorty, you could never even carry the torch. You running them cock-suckers, man I thought they were already busy. Wasn't you already with Tre, Daquan, and Pookie, you should be dizzy. Up here standing like you deserve the accolades. The only thing you're famous for is opening your legs. Thought your cat was magical, you were mistaken, thought he said voila. Naw baby girl he was speaking on that fish smell, he said walleye. You could've came up here smarter, perhaps with some class. But just like that twat, baby girl them bars is trash." Shakes said and the crowd ate that.                                                                          "Well...the crowd has spoken, sorry Charisma, looks like Shakes took that crown from you." Kev announced.           
"That's my sis, bodying mfs." Cochise said all loud and the crowd loved it. There were so many claps and laughs going around the entire venue. Me and Charles walked up to the mic together.   "Thank you to everyone who came out from the artists to the crowd. None of this would be possible without you. We will make sure we post when the next battle will be." Charles said.               "Thank you for coming out and keeping the peace. You all were amazing tonight, let's keep this momentum going." I said as we wrapped it up. Everyone kinda mingled around afterwards talking with the artists and all.                                    "See what you're capable of?" I said to Chuckie as he wrapped his arm around me. He was cheesing hard.                        
"You mean what we're capable of?" he said as we walked over to Toya, Tony, Suki, and Jay.                 "I'm surprised you didn't need more security, they was throwing out fighting words." Jay said and we both laughed.  
"All participants had to sign a waiver. I was ready for it for sure." Chuckie said.
"Smart man!" Tony said.                            
"They didn't want the smoke if they fucked up this here event." I added.       
"Okkkaaayyyy! Because you gotta protect your brand at all costs." Suki said. And she was so right!                    
"And we do that!" Chuckie said.        
"Yall ever consider doing the college scene? There's always availability for that." she asked.       "That's something we didn't think of, but that would be slick. That's the target market for real." Chuckie said.                     
"Let me know, I work in Admissions so I could help." Suki offered.                              
"We'll be in touch for sure." I told her as Kev walked over.                                              
"What's up dawg?" Tony said as they shook hands for a minute.                             
"I can't call it. Thanks for coming out yall. I heard yall going crazy in the audience." he said enthusiastically.         
"Man...I almost pissed on myself laughing. Yall had them punchlines coming." Jay told him.           "Stay ready, you aint gotta get ready, feel me?" Kev said and they both laughed and shook hands.                     
"True true. I didn't think Paradox had bars like like." Toya said.                            
"It's because he doesn't fit the profile, but rapping is in his DNA." Chuckie said.
"Facts, I thought he was just a singer, but that battle scene was fire." Jay said.
"Naw, yall not really speaking on the best surprise. That nigga Riek murdered dude in that battle. Cat never could finish a bar." Tony said.       "Facts. He should really be the MVP." Suki said and me and Chuckie looked at each other for a moment.                              
"Yeah, this is his area of expertise, he just needed a push to do it." I said.            
"Speaking of which..." Tony said as the tribe walked over.                                             
"Your name should be Lethal the way you killed homebody." Jay said as him and Riek shook hands.                                    
"Man...that was funny. Lethal should be Shakes name for real. She dogged shorty." Riek said. I loved how they all hyped each other up. It was dope.           
"Yesssss. Babygirl is going places." Suki said and I couldn't deny that. D walked over and stood next to Kev.                        
"Okay Diamond, you did that! You a funny girl for real. Quick with the comebacks." Suki said to her.                 
"Thank you, I mean they really assisted with the Alley-Oops. I just had to dunk it." she said.            "And you did that!" Tony told her as he hugged her.                                                         
"I'm in the audience like 'Go best friend'!" Toya said and we all laughed.  
"First time she ever sounded like she was from the hood." Jay said as we all burst into laughter. "I'm just playing sis, you know I love you." he said as we calmed down.                                              "Whatever." Toya said.                                  
"And our Valley girl has returned." Aries said as we all laughed again.
