"So...Cochise wrote that?" I said as I got finished listening to this song that Cochise and Paradox had put down. It was so nice!                                                                                                                                            "Hell yeah. As soon as I read the lyrics, I was ready to hear how they was gone do it." Rodney said. I'm not even gonna lie, he would make a killing as a ghostwriter. "I'm surprised he could write like that in detail since he...well you know." Rodney eluded.                                                                  "I mean yeah but he likes both so I mean the infatuation with women is still there. He clearly has a type though because the way he broke it down!" I said as me and Rodney shook hands on that. It was literally one of the most descriptive ways to breakdown a one-night-stand. But to hear Paradox take the rapper role in a song over the singing part was different and I liked it. Having the R&B artists here was definitely a plus. This was coming together good.                                                 "It's hard to believe that we're going on tour soon." Rodney said.                                                                 "Man...I've been manifesting this for so long and to watch it coming into fruition is crazy. Like instant nostalgia for real." I said as Rodney sat finishing up the track.                                                           "Thank you for allowing me to be a part of it. This is big." he said.                                                                "A part of it? We wouldn't be here without you Big Dawg! Appreciate you."                                                "Yoooo." Kev said as he walked in and took a seat. "What yall listening to?" he said as he caught the end of the song.                                                                                                                                                              "That's Cochise and Dox's heat right there." Rodney told him.                                                                        "I already know that got bodied then!" he said confidently.                                                                              "Hell yeah! You got some new heat ready for the tour?" I asked him.                                                          "Maybe...if we can finish the song." he said to me.                                                                                                  "Yeah if there was more music going on in the studios." Rodney said and we all slowly looked around at each other and started laughing hard as hell. We all were guilty of getting it in in these rooms. But I know for sure for Dom and Kev it's constant.                                                                                  "That do be music though. You gotta create a beat, catch the rhythm..." Kev started and we all couldn't stop laughing. He had a point thought.                                                                                                     "You wanna be all technical and shit. Don't be trying to knock her off and then y'all can't perform and shit." I told him and he smiled at that.                                                                                                "But she was pregnant af at the listening party and that still went well, so..." Kev said.                        "There's that." Rodney said as they shook hands on that. "That girl has raw ass talent, it wouldn't matter. But as C being the boss, I think that might be one less thing he wants to stress about or have to work around trying to work around things." Rodney added.                                          "Listen...I'd never be mad if that was the outcome, but timing my friend." I said to him.                    "I get it, this is the first big tour and everything. That's not my focus, but I'm not trying to avoid it either. You know that's my future wife right there." I couldn't even say shit.                                               "So at this point, you have a ring man? Because I knew this was coming." Rodney asked him.          "Don't tempt him." I said and Kev laughed.                                                                                                             "Not yet. I want her to feel completely at ease and comfortable before I even get to that point. But I'll be damned if I let another slide in, you feel me?" he said as me and him shook on that one. "Well I know you feel me because you're close to tying that knot now." he said.                          "Right! Shit I wish I could say I chose right, but she actually chose me. And we just been locked in ever since, but when you know, you know. Time doesn't determine that, that feeling do."                  "So you saying buy the ring after the first date? Got it!" Rodney said and we shared a laugh.            "Sometimes you might know right then and there though, so I can't say you're not right about that. It might sound like a crazy concept, but it's not far-fetched. It took me a month to realize Iris was gonna be my wife. But I had to get her to see a life outside of just the streets. You gotta build with someone who wants it just as bad as you do. The same way we built this label, brick by brick, pound by pound, track by track and we're blossoming beautifully. That's because y'all want it just as bad as I do." I told them.                                                                                                                        "So...in that scenario, we're in a polygamist marriage then?" Rodney said and we laughed.            "He got a point bruh." Kev said and maybe that did come out sounding that way.                                  "Okay...ain't like we're all holding hands and singing we're all in this together or anything. But shit y'all my family, I built this here with y'all so it's like a marriage."                                                            "I need alimony then Big C." Rodney said and we all laughed because why he like this?                     "Here you go." I said as I pulled off some bills from my stack and handed them to him.                       "Bruhh don't play with me." he said trying to slide it back.                                                                             "Naw get yourself ready for the tour. Get you a fresh haircut and some fits. You deserve it." I told him and he looked at it and reluctantly took it.                                                                                                        "I was not expecting that at all. Thank you man." he said.                                                                                  "Naw, thank you. What's going on with Cinco?" I asked him to check in on the lil homie.                    "He's so-so. Some days are better than others, but I think he's making progress. He's been writing a lot lately so he should have some good music coming. But Kev could probably tell you better than me." I looked over at Kev and he looked at me. "That's where he's at a lot."                      "That's because him and Key been chillin with supervision of course. But yeah I be talking to him a lot too. He's changing though. He reminds me of me so much." Kev said.                                                 "Real shit, but look at you now." I told him and we shook hands. At least when we grow and evolve, we put that same energy into the next. He's in good hands with Rodney and Kev, thank God!
