I was walking around my room burping Lil Ant. It was 7:25 in the morning and he had been up since about 5. I was tired, but these are the moments I had been waiting for. I loved everything about being a dad for real. I usually was the one to get up with him throughout the night, but Toya took over during the day. That was our way of balancing everything all out. Once he gave me two good burps I went back to the bed and laid him down and laid down next to him. Toya shifted in the bed and turned in our direction.
"Morning Mommy." I said to her as she looked over and saw him awake.
"Aww you should've woke me Love." she said and I shook my head.
"Naw, you needed to get some rest so I let you. Plus, daddy had it all under control." I told her.   "Daddy needs rest too though." she said to me as she picked Anthony up and I watched him smile as he looked at her.
"And miss these precious moments that we share, naw." I said and she laughed.     "Ohhhweeee Anthony your daddy is a cornball." she said laughing at me and smiling at Anthony.  "But your mama wants to be tied down to this cornball. So I guess we'll make these cornball babies and live in corny bliss for life." I said. She smiled as she stood up and walked around the room bouncing him for a minute.                        "You can go back to sleep babes." she said to me.   "I'll sleep when I'm dead." I said and she looked at me crazy. "What?"
"Stop talking that nonsense. You're not Kevin Gates, you get tired." I had to laugh at that one.   "You don't know nothing about no Kevin Gates dude." I said.
"You really be trying to test my gangsta." she said and even that sounded funny coming out of her mouth. "Plug's Daughter, Thinking with my Dick, Would You Mind?, 4:30am, Satellites, I Don't Get Tired, Get It Out the Mud, Tomorrow...want me to stop?" she said.
"Ouuu that might've just excited me a little bit." We both laughed. "Wait no...you have a rapper friend and an owner of a label friend. It no longer counts." I said and she laughed.
"What you trying to say?" she asked me.
"You probably only hip to it because of those two for real. It doesn't count."
"So what." she said and we both laughed at that. "Anyways...I heard them from Dom, but at the same time, they were catchy." she said.                     "Let me hear something then." I said.
"Looks like I've seen you in my dreams, or in a magazine. People asking who are we, when we roll around. Though things are not as they may seem. Want you like you want me..." Okay okay this was kinda cute.                                                      "Okay then I see you might know the words to Strokin...with your freak ass."
"Never seemed like a problem though."
"And it ain't for real. I'm all for it."
"Stop it, that's how we got this one."
"Okay, and?" I said and she looked over at me. "What?" I asked.
"So wait, you were serious about multiple kids and whatnot?" she asked.
"Is a pig's pussy pork?" she laughed at that shit. "Okay...but at the same time, this body needs time to recuperate."
"And it will. But we're definitely having more children." I said as I got up and walked to the bathroom to pee and wash my hands and face. When I walked back in she was on the phone.      "Send me the measurements again and I got you." she said before hanging up.
"Who calling this early?" I asked her.
"That was Iris. They want something original made for Kev for this performance he has coming up. But needed to ask about me making something for D too. Looks like they may be going on tour." she said.
"Look at you! You don't even need school, Iris and Charles gone make you famous." I told her.    "Yeah I can see that. The color scheme is going to be awesome. They chose burgundy, orange, and cream. I'm excited to bring this to life." she did sound super excited. I'm just glad she's able to move how she wants in the field she wants to be in. "I just have to measure D again because she dropped some weight since the last event. But she's easy to deal with so I'll shoot her a text."                          "Sounds like you're gonna need an assistant pretty soon." I said.
"Maybe, but humble beginnings though, I got this." she said.
"I'm sorry, humble? You?" she hit me in my arm and Anthony laughed.
"I am humble. But I'm also not blind. I know what I bring to any table I've been seated at honestly."
"As you should." There was a knock on the door, so I went to answer it. It was Adrianna. "What's up babygirl?"
"Is he awake?" she asked me and I smiled and stepped aside to let her in.
"Yes, your nephew is awake." I said as she took a seat in the chair and Toya placed him in her arms. Adrianna loved to hold him and he loved interactions with her. He'd always get to giggling and everything with her. I felt so blessed to have a healthy, happy baby.
"Toya I don't think he looks like you." she said and me and Adrianna both laughed at that.             "I know I was just the carrier clearly. He definitely looks just like Tony."
"Poor baby." Adrianna said.
"Hey!" I said and they both laughed at me for a minute. "You got jokes, but you look like my lil princess."
No, I might favor you. I'm cuter."                   "Boom!" Toya said as they kept laughing and high fived each other.
"It's cool, wait til I go out for ice cream next time and it only be for me and Jose since yall wanna be like that." I said and Adrianna's face went straight. "You didn't like that, huh?" she shook her head. "See...where being nice could get you?" I said.
"Hush you know you'd still get her some." Toya said.
"Whose side are you on?" I said as we all laughed.
