"Wait a minute, look at her!" I said as D stepped out the car. Boo always had her lil rockstar persona going, but today she dressed up. She had on this Gucci mini dress with some Gucci sandals. She was cute, I loved mini dresses on thick girls. I appreciated how he matched her style. He had on some Gucci plaid pants with a Gucci shirt and some slides. Okay, we may have had a little competition.
"Girl please, you are wearing that Louis." she said as she checked out my blacked out LV Skirt and shirt set. Tony did complement me well with the LV joggers, tank, and the LV x Nike shoes. I mean this was the perks of being young and wealthy. "
"Thank you. Thank you." I said as I twirled around for a second to show it all. We both laughed at ourselves.
"Was good Big Dawg?" Little Man said to Tony as they shook hands.
"I can't call it. Glad you could make it." he said back. As we walked into BQE. My love for this restaurant was so deep. This is like the best soul food you could find for real. After we were seated and ordered our drinks, I looked up and seen my friend look genuinely happy.
"So...I see this glow here. You must be keeping my friend happy." I said to him.
"That's my goal. I made sure I spent the time to get to know her to be able to keep that smile growing." he said confidently. I respected it.
"I feel that. You worded that just right. So many people jump into things and don't really learn the person and it goes up in flames before it starts. I took my time with her too. Toya couldn't stand me at first." Tony said and we both laughed at that one.
"I couldn't stand his ass. I mean he was attractive, but just wasn't it for me. Then...he showed me him and that was it!" I said as I smiled at Tony.
"Goals!" he said smiling at Dom.
"So what's your story bruh?" Tony asked him, trying to break the ice.
"Well like yall, I'm not from here. Came here when I was about 7 and my parents were addicts. Eventually my dad ended up getting shot for the things they do to get high. My mom was still strung out when he went into the nursing home. I had to keep things going for me and my little sister. So...I did what I had to do to make ends meet. Luckily, I ended up meeting Charles who changed my life for real. So, now I'm a better example for my sister that I'm raising and I got to meet this beautiful woman beside me, so I'd say the life experiences were worth it." he said to keep it short and sweet. I think I like him.
"Much respect, how old is your sister?" Tony asked him.
"She just turned 14 recently." he said.
"Oh wow, that's awesome! I'm glad she has you, that's a major responsibility." I said to him and he nodded.
"Yeah, it's like being a dad. I'm raising her, but she's helping me become a better man. I can't take all the credit, because I do have a lady who helps me with her. And Dom, definitely jumped right in and assisted too. I couldn't do it without them." he said as he kissed her. We ordered our food and after the waiter walked away, we continued our conversation.
"So, no shade, but what's your real name? I just don't want to keep calling you Little Man." I said to him. He laughed. "It's Kevin." he told me.
"Cool, so Kevin, who's the better rapper out of the two of you?" I asked to see how he'd handle the question.
"Easy, I'm the better rapper. She's the better lyricist." he said without hesitation. Him and Tony high-fived.
"That boy smooth!" Tony said as we all laughed at that. Yeah I'm good with them together for real.
"I'm actually changing my rap name too. I think I've outgrown Little Man."
"To what?" Tony asked.
"Influx. I always pour into everything I put out, so why not?" he said.
"That's profound, I like it. Yeah your music is deep, so it makes sense." I said.
"Appreciate that." he said. "Yeah after me and Depth chose Diamond for D, I knew it was my time too."
"Most definitely. What school you go to?" Tony asked him.
"Early College." he said.
"Wait, so you're graduating with a college degree too?" I asked.
"Yes ma'am. Associates in Early Childhood Education." I'm impressed.
"Good shit!" Tony said. "Okay D, you chose right." he told her.
"I got this!" she said. Dom and Tony's bond was tight and I respected how they were since they were kids. Our food came and everyone was silent as we dug in. That food was so fire and I felt like I was starving. "
"Man...I think I'm full." Dom said after she was like halfway done and we all laughed.
"You eat like a bird. I don't know how you got thick baby." Kevin said and we all laughed at that, I didn't get it either.
" She been like that since we was kids running around the bases we lived on. We would be going all day and I'd be starving and she would take like 4 bites and be done with it." Tony said.
"Shit, not me. I eat all my food and his if he doesn't finish it." I said and we all laughed at that.
"I eat her food all the time cuz she be playing." he said.
"Whatever." she said laughing.
"Girl...you better eat. These southern dudes love that extra meat." I said.
"Sure do." Kevin said looking her up and down licking his lips.
"I don't discriminate either. You can be any size, don't make me a difference." Tony said.
"Clearly!" I said laughing with D.
"What?" Tony said sounding confused.
"Bruh Autumn is a whole BBW and Toya slim-thick." Dom spit out.
"So what." he said laughing.
"I like em thick or BBW. I need something to hold onto." Kevin said.
"See friend...I told you." We all laughed. I like the good vibes here. It did seem weird that it wasn't Justin, but she did boss up on him.
