"Man I'm salty I couldn't be there for real because yall still seem lit from the battle." Martin said as we settled in at the island in the kitchen. It was me, Suki, Charles, Iris, Nicole, and Martin. "There's always next time. We gone throw these once a month." Charles told him. Mar had passed everyone a bottle of water and then checked the oven.     
"You stay cheffin something up." Suki said to him.                                                        
"Got to. I got 3 women and 2 children to tend to. 4 women when D's actually home." he clarified.     "We split it up. Yall just happen to always pop up on his days." Nicole corrected and they both laughed.             
"That's because they know what time it is when I'm in the kitchen." he said and Nic flicked him off. "Any time baby."       
"Dude, not in front of company." she said.               "Company? They're family they know what it's hitting for." he said laughing.    
"So that's how the tribe life going?" Tony said as we all laughed.                     
"It's lit!" Mar said.                                           
"I respect it, but I'm cool on all that." Charles said.                                                        
"That's because your queen already has 7 personalities, you in a tribe brody." Mar said and we all laughed even Iris.      
"You better know it!" Iris said laughing.
"See Baby, I'm so glad we don't have these problems." I said to Suki.                
"Speak for yourself, you don't have them problems with her, because you're the one with the multiple personalities bruh." Iris shot back quick and everyone laughed at that shit.                   "But, I wouldn't want you any other way." Suki said as she leaned in and kissed me.                          "Damn it, I had higher hopes for you." Nicole said and we laughed again. "I'm just picking. But on the real, I love yall together. You're exactly what he needed." Nic said and I agree.                    "Oouuuu nope! Not gonna let you have my mascara running." Suki said fanning herself. We laughed again.                          
"Nicole will always try to take you there." Toya said.                                               
"Okay, bitch always be having them Hallmark speeches ready." Iris said.    
"Sounds familiar." I said as we all looked a C-Money and he laughed.           
"Shhhhiiitttttt Hallmark wishes they were half as smooth as us." Charles said as him and Nic shook hands.                      
"Anyways where are the other 2 ladies?" Suki asked.                                                             "Working...they leave me to deal with our oldest child." Nic said looking at Mar.                                  "You ain't going nowhere anyway so chill ma." Mar told her.                              
"I'm running away." she said laughing. 
"I will look for you. I will find you and I will..." she put her hand over Martin's mouth as we all died laughing as he sounded just like Liam Neeson on Taken. This cat is a fool.                          "But I'm the crazy one though." I said and they laughed again.                           
"You're not crazy bruh." Iris said to me. "Umm...you don't get to make that call. Your mental status is questionable too." Mar shot at her quickly.                                
"Yall stay trying to play us." Iris said laughing at that shit.                                     
"But they both got people that love and accept them as they are. So who cares?" Nicole defended. We heard the front door close and footsteps approaching. 
"Hey yall." D said walking in.                      
"I thought you was Erica, what's up Sis?" Mar said as he hugged her. Kev walked in behind her.  "What's good peoples?" he said coming in and speaking to everyone.                       
"What's good bruh?" Mar said.                   
"We was coming to drop the video off to you. D had said you wouldn't be able to make it and we wanted to make sure you could experience it too." Kev told him as he handed him the disc. "I got the rest from the videographer in the whip, yall want these now or tomorrow?" Kev asked them.                   
"We'll grab them from you tomorrow. You got a 2 o'clock tomorrow?" Iris asked him.                            "Naw, I got the 2 o'clock. He got that 3:30." Dom corrected.                                   
"Same difference, we'll still see yall together." Charles said laughing.          
"That's exactly why I didn't even say shit." Kev said back.                                   
"Whatever, see yall." Dom said.             
"Damn you running off quick. Yall can't stay at least for dinner?" Mar said.              
"That be her always on in and out missions. We can chill for a min." Kev said as he sat down on the other side of the island and D followed suit.    "See this why I like Kev, he be flexible with shit." Nicole said.                                     
"Always! That's just me. I go everywhere and do everything comfortably." I wanted to dislike this nigga so bad, and I couldn't. I had to get myself from trapped in my thoughts when I was around them two. It's like it was out of sight, out of mind. But there was just an overwhelming feeling of indifference with them in my peripheral. "Aye so I was looking at highlight reels on ESPN the other day. Nobody told me that you was the #3 guard in the state." Kev said looking dead at me.   "The height would surely fool ya. But brody always been a beast on the court." Mar said.            "Oh I peeped from the game in the park. But shit with them highlights you could definitely make the league." Kev said.   
"Thanks man." I said humbly.                      
"Okay, as long as someone knows we're in the presence of greatness." Suki said.  
"Let's clap it up for my dawg! He did that!" Tony said and everybody did clap for me in that instant. This was a change of pace for real.              "Appreciate that!" I said.                                 "Speaking of greatness, let's give it up the label's new design officer! Toya, thank you so much for signing on to be our visionary. We owe the look to you." Charles said as we all carried on the claps. Toya stood up and did her model wave and shit. We laughed at that.         
"Hold on let me brag on my newfound friend while we're at it. So Suki over here won the State championship at the nail convention. She gone have a whole spread in a magazine." Nicole announced. I whistled as they all clapped. "Go friend!"                                      
"Okkayyyy that's my nail tech!" Iris yelled out.       "Speaking of which Iris and D, I would love to use yall as my nail models if that's okay." she said to them.               
"Of course, I got you." Dom responded.
"You already know, I'm with it." Iris said.
