Not gonna lie, Suki was cold at what she do for real. She killed Iris' fullset. They were so blinged out and pretty. Araya kept it a little less complex but the shape was on point though. I initially was only gonna get my feet done, but I let her talk me into a fullset too. We had all been chilling, laughing, and joking. It was cool vibes for real. I like her.
"Yall are a trip! I never had this much fun working in my life." Suki said to us.
"One thing about me, we gone laugh. Any and everyone with me knows this." Iris said and that was facts!
"For real though. You should really consider being a comedian. You'd make bank! I mean not that you need help, but multiple streams is the new wave boo." Suki said as she finished shaping my nails to the T. "You good with those?" she asked me as I looked them over.
"Yes, they're perfect Love." I told her as she pulled out her gel polish. She had this beautiful orange that she had put on my toes, so I figured I'd keep it going. "So...where are you from?" she asked me. "Detroit." I told her.                                  "Okay then! I visit there from time to time. I like the energy there." she said.
"Me too. I mean I'm liking the south, but I'd be lying if I said the D didn't have a different vibe. It's like the creative energy there is beyond real." I said.
"Agreed! That's where I was when I decided to start doing nails." she said.
"What took you to Detroit?" Iris asked her.
"My relationship with my child's father. He was from there and we had moved there briefly, but ended up coming back." she said as she focused on painting my nails.                                                    "Oh okay. I know a lot of people go their to get packages and shit." Iris said. Now I knew Iris was fishing for sure.
"I mean...yeah did that too. At the time, I was using though, not selling." she said.
"At the time?" Araya asked.
"I've been clean since the day I found out I was pregnant. Went from using to selling." she said and me and Iris looked at each other on that note.
"What were you on? If you don't mind me asking." Araya continued.                                 "Powder." she said as she looked up at us. "I thought yall were about to judge me." she said to us.
"Why would we do that? None of us are perfect ourselves." I said to her.
"Because most people who don't do drugs pass judgment." she said.
"We all smoke weed though." Araya said.
"Not the same boo. But I appreciate yall though." she said as she continued.
"So what you push?" Iris asked her.
"Pills mostly. You know Campus shit. Not like the stuff yall help get through the city." she said to her.
"Excuse me?" Iris said. Oh shit!                         "Yall work for Widow right? I mean he's known to have a group of young ones so that it's always juvie yall face, plus you're easier to mold." she said in her defense.
"You the cops?" Iris asked as she put her hands behind her back and I knew she was ready to pull her shit.
"No. I just exposed my hand to you, so how Imma be the cops? I run with Clive. So we're kinda like distant partners." she said as Iris relaxed back.
"So with all due respect Imma give you the benefit of the doubt, but this ain't no sick get back for Cease, right?" Iris said as me and Araya looked at each other confused as hell as to what happened.
"Cease? He don't even work for Clive no more. He got cancelled over some shit he did behind his babymama. Now she's all off the grid and shit and Clive said fuck him. Ain't no room for emotions in the game." Suki said making eye contact with Iris. As she grabbed the dryer and I set my hands in there hoping this didn't go south quick.
"That's all you know?" Iris asked her.
"Yeah. They only give us basic info. We don't run all in a pack and what he does is no business of mine at all. I move my shit, make my money. Break Clive off and keep it moving." she said.         "So why share this with us? How you know we not the cops?" Iris asked.
"I do readings Iris. I knew absolutely everything about yall from day 1. I'm not a mole, there's no wire..." she said lifting her shirt and all. "...we're no different." she said. She pulled her cards out of the desk behind her. "Some people call it witchcraft, others call it the powers that be. All I know is I trust in my abilities."                                  "Okay, I respect that. So what all do you really know?" I asked her trying to gain clarity.                "I know about you and Jay. I'm sorry by the way, that's rough. And he should've been there for you." she said to me sincerely.                                    "Thank you, but I'm fine. I was blessed to have Kevin step up when Jay stepped out. So even when I lost, I won." I said and really meant every single word.
"I know. You have a very positive aura. I can appreciate that." she said to me.                                 "Yeah I didn't want to be awkward with it, but I didn't want to not mention it and then it be awkward later. Plus I don't know what he told you ab..."
"Girl...guys are dumb. He told me what made him look good but at the same time I can decipher bullshit. We're good sis." she said as I took my hands from underneath the drier. "You're all set." she said as I paid her for them.       "Thank you. I'll have to set something up with you for 2 weeks from now." I said to her.                 "You mean we. We need to set that up." Araya said.
"Okayyy." Iris added.                                                     "Standard appointment every 2 weeks, same time?" she offered and we agreed as we exited the spot.
"I don't trust her, but we gone see what else she gone divulge. Something is off with her I know it is." Iris said as soon as we got in the car.
