Mitch's Johto Journey

The Azalea Town Gym Battle

                 Mitch and Cyndaquil make their way through what appears to be a forest.( if one were to look through the trees, they would be able to spot glass walls and a glass roof showing that they are in a greenhouse of sorts and not a forest) Eventually, they walk into a clearing with a battlefield in it and on the side opposite of where they are, a boy with lavender hair and a outfit resembling a boy scout uniform, sits on the ground untangling a net.  The boy looks up, sees them, eagerly grins, puts the net to the side and gets to his feet. " I'm Bugsy, the Azalea Town Gym Leader, I think I heard about you from Falkner. Are you Mitch Harper?  " Yeah, and I guess Falkner told you that I would be here for a gym battle and probably told you that I already have experiences fighting in gyms. So, what are the rules?" 

             " Yes, he told me everyone, so this will be a 4 on 4 battle, that starts now! Ledian, I choose you," Bugsy exclaims while throwing a Net Ball into the air.  " Ledian, Ledian, Led," it cries as it hovers over the battlefield and Mitch brings his Pokedex out to use on it. " Ledian, the Five Star Pokémon, a Bug and Flying-type, the evolved form of Ledyba, it uses starlight as energy. When more stars appear at night, the patterns on its back grow larger." " I figured this might be a Bug-type gym. Cyndaquil, get out there," Mitch says as he puts his Pokedex away and Cyndaquil ignites its back flame before running into the battlefield. " Use Ember," " Counter it with Swift and then use Mach Punch," both trainers shout as Cyndaquil shoots multiple fire balls out of its mouth and Ledian fires a bunch of yellow energy stars from its top arms. The attacks collide and explode, creating a small cloud of smoke and giving Ledian enough cover to rush forward and punch Cyndaquil in the face with its glowing blue fist that is surrounded by blue energy streaks. " Cyndaaaaaa," it mumbles as it stumbles backwards and shakes off the pain from the Mach Punch.  " Now use Focus Punch," Bugsy commands as Ledian's right top fist glows white. " Leeeeeeeed," it shouts as it flies at Cyndaquil and Mitch quickly yells, " Use Defense Curl and then Flame Wheel!"

         " Quilll," Cyndaquil cries as it curls into a ball, causing Ledian's Focus Punch to do no damage when it hits. Instead of uncurling, Cyndaquil stays curled up in a ball as fire surrounds its body. " Cyndaaaa," it shouts as it rolls forward and manages to land a critical hit on Ledian with its Flame Wheel. " Leeeeeediaaaaaan," it cries as it rolls across the ground and stops in front of a tree on the edge of the battlefield. " Don't give in yet, Ledian! Use Dig," Bugsy orders as Mitch yells, " Wait a minute, DIG!" To Mitch's shock, Ledian digs a hole in the ground and disappears inside of it. Cyndaquil looks around and tries desperately to locate where Ledian is going to come up at but fails. " Lediaaaaan," it cries as it shoots up of the ground on Cyndaquil's right and punches it in the side. "Cyndaaaaaa," it shouts as it is briefly knocked to the ground by the Super Effective move but manages to get to its feet in time for Mitch to shout a command. " Use Flame Wheel, once more," he cries as Cyndaquil rolls into a ball of fire and slams into Ledian. Once again, Ledian is sent rolling across the battlefield, but this time doesn't get back up when it stops, spirals form in its eyes as Bugsy returns it.  " Everyone likes to bring Fire-types to this gym and let's just say, they're just as surprised as you were whenever Ledian uses Dig.  Yanma, I choose you," Bugsy says as he throws another Net Ball into the air. 

         " Yanma, Yan, Ma, Ma, Yanma," it cries as it hovers in front of Cyndaquil and gives it a friendly smile.  Cyndaquil returns the smile as Mitch says, " last time I fought a Yanma, I had no idea what it was, but this time I'm prepared. Cyndaquil, use Ember!" " Use Detect and then Aerial Ace," Bugsy orders as Yanma's eyes glow blue and it skillfully maneuvers out of the way of Cyndaquil's Ember. Yanma begins to fly very fast, as white energy streaks surround its body, towards Cyndaquil , but Mitch is prepared. " Stop it with Defense Curl and then use Ember," he exclaims as Cyndaquil curls into a ball and Yanma harmlessly slams into it. " Cyndaaaaaaaaaaaaa," it screams as it uncurls and shoots the fire balls out of its mouth. " Yanmmaaaaaaaaaa," Yanma cries as they explode on its back and Mitch tells Cyndaquil to, " Use Flame Wheel," As Cyndaquil begins to curl up, Bugsy yells, " quick, use Screech!" " Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaanmaaaaaaaaaaaa," it loudly screams as Cyndaquil is forced to stop its attack and hold its ears, its body briefly glows white to show that its Defense has been harshly lowered. " Use your Aerial Ace," Bugsy commands as Yanma's body becomes surrounded by streaks of white energy. " Yaaaaaaaaanmaa," it screeches as it quickly flies forward and slams into a still stunned Cyndaquil.
