The Mahogany Town Gym Battle

  " Well, this is definitely an Ice-type gym," a shivering Mitch says as he and Typhlosion walk inside the Mahogany Town Gym. They walk down a path covered in what appears to be snow before reaching a Ice Battlefield that looks just like the one that Mitch fought Bertha on in the Indigo League. An old man with white hair, a cane, a white scarf, a blue jacket, tan pants, and brown shoes sits in a rocking chair on the other side of the battlefield and drinks a mug of hot chocolate. " Greetings young man! I'm Pryce and who might you be," he asks without looking up from his mug. " I'm Mitch Harper and I'm here to challenge you to a gym battle! Chuck must have told you about me." " No, I'm afraid I'm not heard anything from that big buffoon," Pryce replies before finishing up his hot chocolate with one large sip. Mitch sweat drops in embarrassment before explaining about how he has had previous experience in gym battles after traveling through Kanto, but uses Pokémon that don't have as much experience as the ones he used in Kanto in his Johto gym battles and also says that this will be his 7th gym battle in Johto. " I see. Than this shall be a 5 on 5 battle," Pryce says as he sits his mug down next to his chair and stands up with assistance from his cane. 

  " I'll start things off small! Smoochum, come on out," Pryce yells whilst throwing a Poké Ball into the air. " Smoo, Smoo," she playfully cries as she lands in the battlefield and winks at Mitch. " Smoochum, the Kiss Pokémon, an Ice and Psychic-type, this is a very curious Pokémon. Smoochum decides what it likes and dislikes by touching things with its lips." " I'll use Misdreavus," Mitch hollers as he throws a Poké Ball of his own. " Misssss, Missss, Vussss, Misssssdreavussss," it hauntingly cackles while levitating over the field. " Use Shadow Ball," Mitch commands before Misdreavus fires a large ball of black energy out of its mouth. " Evade the attack and give it a Sweet Kiss," Pryce mumbles. " Smoooooo," she gleefully shouts as she jumps over the Shadow Ball and blows a pink energy heart out of her mouth. " Vusss," it mumbles as the heart hits it in the face and causes Confusion. " Miiiiiiiiiiisssss," it cries as it floats around erratically with spinning spirals in its eyes and fires off Shadow Balls in multiple different directions. It then floats down and begins to repeatable slam its face against one of the small ice pillars that surround the arena. " Come on Misdreavus, you got to snap out of it," Mitch yells to no avail. " Smoochum, give it another kiss, but this time make it a Lovely Kiss!" 

  " Chuuuuuuuumm," Smoochum giggles as she runs forward with her lips glowing bright pink and gives Misdreavus a kiss on the cheek.  " Vvvuss," it whispers as it immediately goes to sleep and falls to the ground. " Seriously," a flabbergasted Mitch yells as Smoochum chuckles in amusement at her own trolling behavior. " Okay, I think you've had your fun. Wrap this up with your Shadow Ball," Pryce says as a ball of black energy forms between Smoochum's hands. " Smoooooooooo," she loudly exclaims as she throws the ball at Misdreavus. " Vuuuuuuuuussssss," it cries in its sleep as the attack explodes on the side of its head and slings it at Mitch. " Missss," it weakly mumbles as it lands at his feet with spirals in its eyes. " Sorry about all that! Smoochum isn't exactly my strongest Pokémon, so all she can really do is inflict multiple status problems and take advantage of opponents suffering from them," Pryce explains as Mitch sends Misdreavus back to its Poké Ball. " It's fine, I get it, but don't expect me to fall for those tricks again! Pupitar, I choose you!" 

  " Tar, Tar, Pupitar, Tar," it grumbles as it lands in the battlefield and glares at Smoochum. " Use Stone Edge," Mitch commands as a bunch of grey, rectangular stones with sharp tips materialize in front of Pupitar. " Taaaaaarr," it yells as it sends the stones towards Smoochum. " Get away and use Ice Punch," Pryce shouts as Smoochum jumps over the stones and punches Pupitar between the eyes with her ice covered left fist. " Taaaaarrr," it groans as it quickly shakes off the pain from the attack. " Snarl," Mitch yells as " Taaaaaaaaaaarrrrr," Pupitar releases a sound wave of black energy from its mouth. " Chuuuuuuuuuuuuummmm," Smoochum cries as she is knocked backwards by the attack. She lands at the base of one of the ice pillars and tries to get back up. However, it quickly becomes clear that all of her energy has been spent, she falls to her belly and spirals appear in her eyes. Pryce quickly puts her back in her Poké Ball and puts it back in one of his many jacket pockets before pulling out another ball from one of his other pockets. " Up next is Delibird," he yells while throwing the ball.
