" Sceeep....tiiii.leeeee." Sceptile groans as it remains trapped in its opponent's, a Mega Steelix, Bind attack. " Drop it and use Ice Fang," the Mega Steelix's owner orders as Mega Steelix lets Sceptile go and it begins to fall towards the ground, only for Mega Steelix to grab it with its ice coated teeth and sling it around for several seconds. " Sceeeeeeeeeeeep," it cries before Mega Steelix tosses it aside and it lands on the Forest Battlefield with a loud thud. " Tttile," it mumbles as spirals appear in its eyes. " Ian's Sceptile is unable to battle," ( the scoreboard shows that Ian used Milotic, Altaria, Mega Medicham, Mawile, Camerupt, and Sceptile, in that order, for this battle while his opponent used Kingdra, Pidgeot, Wigglytuff, Arcanine, Hitmonchan, and Mega Steelix) the announcer shouts. " Tyyy," Typhlosion grunts as it shakes the memory of Ian and Sceptile losing the Silver Conference out of its head and stares at its reflection in a small pond. Typhlosion's thoughts are interrupted by Mitch yelling, " it's time to eat!" Typhlosion looks over to where Mitch is before begrudgingly getting up and following the rest of the party ( Meganium, Feraligatr, Gligar, Aipom, Gengar) over to where the food is.

" Okay, if we keep up the pace we're going, we should reach New Bark Town by tonight and then we can catch a boat back to Kanto tomorrow afternoon," Mitch says as he looks at his map whilst he and a melancholy Typhlosion walk down a path through a wooded area. " Oh, cheer up, that's not the first battle I've lost and it's not the first one you've lost, there will be plenty more chances in the future for battles. As a matter of fact, I have an announcement related to that planned for when we get to Pallet Town," he says whilst patting it on the back, it gives a short smile in response. Their conversation is cut short by sounds of a fight and a Pokémon letting out a pained cry, " Mmmmmaaaaaggg!" They quickly rush down the path to see an extremely injured Magmar at the mercy of an Ursaring.
" Rrrrrrrrrriiingggg," the Ursaring roars as it prepares to use Slash on the Magmar. " Tyyyyyy," Typhlosion grunts as it gets down on all fours and its become becomes engulfed in a translucent fire while it runs at Ursaring. " Ursaaaaaaaaaaaa," it cries as it is knocked several feet to the side by Typhlosion's Flame Charge. Ursaring decides to use its Slash on Typhlosion, but is stopped by Typhlosion's Defense Curl. " Tyyyyyyyyyy," it growls as it uncurls and releases a medium sized stream of fire from its mouth. " Riiiiiiiinggggg," it screams as the Flamethrower hits it in the face and it stumbles backwards whilst rubbing it. Typhlosion's eyes and body begin to glow bright red as the flame on its neck doubles in size. " Tyyyyyyyyyyphlooooooooosiooooooooooonn," it exclaims whilst shooting a very large stream of blue fire from its mouth. " Ursaaaaaaaaaaaaa," it cries as the Blast Burn pushes it far into the air and over the horizon.
Typhlosion extinguishes its neck flame and begins to turn around only for the Magmar ( which Mitch healed while Typhlosion was fighting Ursaring) to slam into it and give it a powerful hug. " Mag, Mag, Mag," it happily cries whilst affectionately rubbing its face against Typhlosion's chest. " Tyyyyy," it says as it blushes and rubs the back of its head. Magmar lets go of Typhlosion and stares at it with admiration whilst blushing as well, leaving Mitch an awkward third wheel. " Hey, Magmar, if you want to get to know Typhlosion more, I can catch you," Mitch says whilst holding a Poké Ball towards it. Magmar looks at the ball, then at Typhlosion, and then back at the ball. " Maaar," it happily cries whilst touching the Poké Ball with one of its fingers. It gets sucked inside and the capture noise immediately goes off.
" Tyy," Typhlosion grunts in a worried tone as the ball shrinks down and turns black. " Calm down, you know what's going on," Mitch says whilst sending the ball to Professor Oak's lab. " You can see your " girlfriend" when we get to Pallet Town," Mitch says in an teasing tone. Typhlosion grins, playfully spits a small Smokescreen in Mitch's face, and then runs down the path they're on. " Welp, we'll definitely get to New Bark Town faster by doing this," Mitch says with a chuckle whilst chasing after his Johto Starter.
