" Welcome to the Ilex Forest," Mitch says while reading from a sign as he and Cyndaquil stand at the entrance to a large forest. They walk into the forest and begin to hear loud thumps from up ahead. Eventually, they come upon what is making them, " use Headbutt," a trainer yells to a small egg-like Pokémon that Mitch uses the Pokedex on. " Togepi, the Spike Ball Pokémon, a Fairy-type, it is considered to be a symbol of good luck. Its shell is said to be filled with happiness." " Togeeeeepiiiii," it squeals as it jumps forward and slams its head into a tall, but fragile looking tree, causing it to shake heavily. " Pineeeeee," something cries out as it falls out of the tree and lands next to Togepi. The trainer throws a Poke Ball at it as Mitch scans whatever it is with the Pokedex.
" Pineco, the Bagworm Pokémon, a Bug-type, it likes to make its shell thicker by adding layers of tree bark. The additional weight doesn't seem to bother it," the device beeps as the other trainer successfully captures the Pineco. " Great job, Togepi, what do you say we call it a day and go rest at the Pokémon Center," the trainer says as Togepi nods in agreement. Mitch puts his Pokedex away before running up to the trainer and asking, " Excuse me, but how did you do that?" The trainer smiles before saying, " the trees here in Ilex Forest are tall, but are extremely flimsy, so people come here with a Pokémon that knows Headbutt and use the move on the tree in attempts to knock wild Pokémon out of them." " That's cool, I'll have to try it out," Mitch says as the trainer nods and walks off. Mitch turns to Cyndaquil and says, " wait, does anyone on in the party actually know Headbutt?" " Cyndaa," it replies as it shrugs.

" ARE YOU KIDDING ME," Mitch screams as he stares at his Pokedex. Mitch's Pokémon are lined up, he has been using the Pokedex to scan their moves to see if any of them know Headbutt, in a single file horizontal line and he has just finished up scanning the move set of the Pokémon at the end of the line: his Totodile. " Totoo," it yawns as it lazily lies on its side. " I must have misheard that," he anxiously says as he rescans it. " This Totodile currently knows the moves Scratch, Leer, Water Gun, Headbutt, Bite, Scary Face, and Ice Fang." " WHAT! Off all the Pokémon I have on me. Why is Headbutt on my laziest one. Even my Snorlax isn't as lazy as this," Mitch yells as Hoothoot, Heracross, Phanpy, and Chikorita hastily return themselves to their Poke Balls upon seeing how angry he is about Totodile. Mitch is calmed by Cyndaquil and looks down at Totodile, who is completely unbothered even after all the yelling. " Okay, here's the deal, Totodile. Headbutt a few trees for me and you can have a second helping for dinner tonight." Totodile thinks it over for a few seconds before reluctantly getting up.
" Alright, use Headbutt on a tree," Mitch orders as Totodile slams its head into a tree, nothing falls out of them. Totodile is about to go back into slacker mode, but is halted by Mitch," Oh, no you don't. Use Headbutt on that tree." " Totooo," it says as it slams its head into another tree, nothing falls out of it. Totodile, who seemingly gets more and more energetic with every attack, hits several more trees with its head until something finally falls out of one. "Spin, Spin, Spinarak, Rak," something cries as it falls and lands next to Totodile. " Spinarak, the String Spit Pokémon, a Bug and Poison-type, it sets a trap by spinning a web with thin but strong silk. It then waits motionlessly for prey to arrive." " Okay, Cyndaquil attack with," Mitch's command is interrupted by " Totooooooooooo," Totodile shooting a medium sized stream of water out of its mouth. Spinarak is knocked a few feet back by the Water Gun as Totodile turns to Mitch with a grin on its face. " Dileee," it eagerly says while giving Mitch a thumbs up. " Well, looks like we finally got your fire started. Use Scratch," Mitch commands as the claws on Totodile's right hand glow white and it rushes at Spinarak. However, Spinarak has time to get up as Totodile is running at it, " Raaaaaaaaak," it shouts while spitting a bunch of dark purple energy needles from its mouth.
Totodile is forced to use its Scratch to counter the Poison Sting, giving Spinarak an opening to attack. " Spinaaaaaaa," it cries as it fires a beam of dark black energy from each of its eyes. "Totooooooo," it cries as the Night Shade knocks it backwards. However, it quickly recovers as Mitch commands it to, " use another Scratch!" Totodile tries to use the attack but is stopped by Spinarak firing a large amount of silk from its mouth: Totodile's right arm has been glued to the ground by Spinarak's String Shot! " Toto, Toto, Dile, Toto, Toto," it shouts as it struggles to free itself. Spinarak is about to use another attack but is stopped when Totodile frees itself, by using Scratch with its other arm, and sends another Water Gun its way. " Spinaaaaa," it cries as the water stream knocks it against a tree. " Raaak, Spinaaraak, Spinaa," it whimpers as it struggles to stand, giving Mitch a chance to throw an empty Poke Ball at it
" Spinaa," Spinarak whimpers as the ball bonks it on the head and sucks it inside. The capture noise goes off after about a minute. Mitch walks up to it and uses the P.C. button on his Pokedex to send Spinarak to Professor Oak's lab before turning around to look at Totodile. " Great Job, Totodi," Mitch's congratulatory sentence is interrupted when he sees that Totodile has decided to lie down for a nap. " Reminds me of my Snorlax. Likes to battle, but oh so lazy," he says to Cyndaquil while shaking his head and returning the snoozing Totodile to its Poke Ball.
