Bayleef Blossoms

   " Move out of the way and use Pollen Puff," a trainer yells as his Butterfree dodges a Fury Attack from Mitch's Spearow. " Frrrrrrreeee," it buzzes before spitting a large ball of pollen, outlined in a yellowish-green aura, out of its mouth. " Dodge and use Wing Attack," Mitch shouts as Spearow flies over the Pollen Puff whilst its wings start to glow white. " Push it back with Psybeam," the trainer hollers before Butterfree fires a beam of pink energy out of both of its eyes. " Roooooooowww," Spearow cries as the attack slams into it and pushes it back a few feet, forcing it to stop its Wing Attack. " Sppppppeeeaar," it growls in frustration before its body begins to glow in a blinding white light, causing Mitch to confidently smirk. " Feeaaaaaaeaaaaarooooow," the newly evolved Fearow screams as its beak glows white, extends by a couple of inches, and begins to spin. " Rooooooowwwww," it shouts as it stabs Butterfree in the chest with its Drill Peck, knocking it to the ground. " Butttt," it whines as spirals appear in its eyes and its trainer lets out a frustrated groan. " You did great, Fearow," Mitch says with pride as the Normal/Flying-type lands on the ground in front of him and allows him to affectionately scratch its chin.

   Mitch and Typhlosion sit on a bench in front of a small river and look at their map of Johto. " We really don't have the time to go to multiple places across the region and train for the Silver Conference, but there is time for us to train for a little while every day on our way to the top of Mt. Silver," he says as Typhlosion nods and finishes up the Belue Berry it was snacking on. " Well if it's training you want, are you up for the battle that you said you would be up for if we ever met again," shouts a familiar voice. Izzy quickly runs up to them and pulls a Poké Ball out of her bag. " You up for another one on one or do you have other plans,"  she says with a grin. " Definitely," he replies before putting his map back in his bag, standing up, and pulling Poké Ball out of his pocket. " I choose you," they shout simultaneously while throwing their balls.

  " Slow, Slooow, King, Slowking," " Bay, Bay, Leef, Bayleef," Izzy's Slowking and Mitch's Bayleef shout as they land on the ground. " Well, you have the clear type advantage, but in my experience that doesn't always mean everything! Slowking, use Fire Blast," Izzy shouts as Slowking releases a fire in the shape of the Kanji fire symbol from its mouth. " Seriously! Avoid it and use Body Slam," Mitch exclaims before Bayleef leaps over the flame and begins to descend towards the Royal Pokémon. " Ice Beam," Izzy orders before " Sllllloooowwww," Slowking fires a medium sized beam of ice from its mouth. " Baaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyy," it screams as the Super Effective attack hits it in the stomach and knocks it to the side, stopping its Body Slam. " Leefff," it grunts as it lands on its side, but quickly gets back up. " Try Bullet Seed," Mitch hollers as " Bbbbbaaay," Baylee releases multiple green energy seeds from its mouth. " Slooooooowwwww," it cries as the seeds explode on its chest and briefly knock it off balance. " That won't stop us! Use Hydro Pump," she yells before Slowking releases a large stream of water from its mouth.

    " Move out of the way and then try Energy Ball," Mitch yells before Bayleef barely dodges the Hydro Pump and fires a large ball of bright green energy from its mouth. " Kinggggg," Slowking groans as the attack explodes on one of its knees, briefly knocking it down. " Use Psychic," Izzy orders as Slowking's eyes glow pink and it uses telekinesis to slam Bayleef against a nearby tree a few times. Bayleef lands on the ground a couple of feet in front of the tree and manages to shakily get back to its feet. " Vine Whip," Mitch shouts as two vines lash out from the tiny holes in Bayleef's neck and slap Slowking across the face several times. " Slowking, go all out and use Hyper Beam," Izzy shouts with a slight chuckle whilst Bayleef pulls its vines back into its body. " Slllllllooooooowwwwwkiiiiiiiiinggggggggggg," it screams whilst releasing a large beam of bright red energy from the gem on its crown. " Baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyy," it loudly cries as the beam slams into it and knocks it against a small boulder next to the river.

  " Kinggg," Slowking yawns whilst going into Recharge mode. " Bbbbbayyy," Bayleef whines whilst trying to get back up on its feet. Its body then begins to glow in a blinding white light, allowing a concerned Mitch to breathe a sigh of relief. " Two Evolutions in one day, I love it," he says with a grin. " Meeeeeegaaaaaaaaaaniummmmm," Mitch's Meganium yells as the glowing stops. " Alright, it's recharging, meaning we get to attack it twice before it can attack again, so start with Magical Leaf," he yells. " Meeggg," it huffs whilst summoning multiple dark green leaves and sending them at Slowking. " Kiiiiiinggggg," it moans as the leaves slice across its torso. " Now for the move you just learned, Petal Blizzard!" " Niuuuuuuummmm," it shouts as the flower around its neck glows light green and it fires multiple different colored flower petals out of it. " Slooooooowwwwwwwww," it yells whilst the petals explode all over its body. After the Petal Blizzard ends, Slowking stands motionlessly for about a minute before falling over on its back. " Sllloww," it whispers before spirals form in its eyes. 

   " Good work Meganium," Mitch shouts before walking up to it and giving it a hug. " Meggg," it happily shouts whilst returning the hug by using its vines. Izzy checks on Slowking and recalls it before walking over to where Mitch, Meganium, and now Typhlosion are. " You know there might be a chance for us to battle again very soon," she says while searching around in her bag for something. " What are you talking about," he asks with a befuddled look. " This is what I'm talking about," she says whilst showing him a badge case that has eight gym badges ( some recognizable ones include the Hive Badge, Glacier Badge, and Fog Badge) in it. " So, you're competing in the Silver Conference too? Than I'll gladly take you on there too," he says as they smirk at each other.
