Mitch's Johto Journey

The Olivine City Gym Battle

             " Olivine City Gym," Mitch reads as he and a still melancholy looking Quilava stand in front of a large metal building. " Let's go try for Gym Badge number five," he says as they walk into the building and down a long path surrounded on all sides by metal pillars. Eventually, they reach a battlefield, that is also surrounded by metal pillars, and on the opposite side of it, a young woman stands. "Hi!  I'm Jasmine, the Olivine City Gym Leader! Are you here for a gym battle?" " Yeah, I'm Mitch Harper from Pallet Town in the Kanto Region and I'll be trying for my fifth Johto badge. " Oh, so you're the one that Morty told me about! Okay, this will be a four on four battle, so let's get started! Magneton, I choose you!"

      " Mag, Mag, Ton, Magneton," they cry as they hover over the battlefield.  " You're up, Quilava," Mitch says as Quilava begrudgingly ignites its back flames and darts into the battlefield. " Use Flame Wheel," he orders, but Quilava doesn't use the attack and its body begins to glow bright red. " Laaaaaaaavaaaaaaaa," it screams as it tries and fails to use Overheat.  " WHAT WAS THAT, QUILAVA! You still haven't learned Overheat, so why try to use it in an important battle like this, especially when its not even the move I told you to use," Mitch angrily shouts as Quilava gets an angry look on its face. " Lavaaaa, Lavaaaa, Quillll, Quilava, Laaaavaaa," it angrily screams back at him. " I know you really want to learn it! But disobeying me and trying to use it every chance you get is not the way to go!" " Magneton, use Flash Cannon," Jasmine, taking advantage of a distracted Mitch and Quilava, commands as Magneton fires a large beam of silver energy from their center. Mitch and Quilava are unable to react in time and the Flash Cannon hits Quilava in the back, knocking it to Mitch's left side.

        " If you two are going to keep arguing, I'll just call this battle off and we can have it again at a later time, after you two have settled your argument," Jasmine angrily shouts. Mitch and Quilava look at each other with aggravated looks on their faces. " Are you going to obey my commands and stop with your Overheat obsession," he asks. " La, Laaavaa," it reluctantly nods before going back into the battlefield. " Use Flame Wheel," he orders as Quilava rolls into a ball of fire and flings itself at Magneton. " Use Supersonic before it can hit you," Jasmine exclaims as Magneton rub their heads together and create a loud and irritating sonic cry, "Toooooooooooon!" The Supersonic hits Quilava, but it still manages to hit Magneton with Flame Wheel, knocking them out of the air.  " Maaaag," they cry as they land with a thud and Quilava lands on its feet next to them. " Laaaa, Laaa, Quilll, Laaa," it shouts as it stumbles around with circling spirals in its eyes: Quilava was successfully Confused by Magneton's Supersonic! " Use your Discharge," Jasmine shouts as Magneton quickly gets back into the air and fires off six medium sized bolts of yellow electricity from their body. " Laaaaaaaaaavaaaaaaa," it screams as the electricity hits it and gives it a severe shock. After a few seconds, the attack stops and Quilava returns to its confused state, stumbling all over the battlefield. 

         " Return for now, Quilava," Mitch says as he recalls his Confused Johto Starter to its Poké Ball. " Heracross, let's go," he hollers as he throws another ball into the air whilst putting Quilava's ball on his belt. " Heraaaaa, Cross, Cross, Heracross," it shouts as it lands and arrogantly flexes its muscles. " Use Arm Thrust," he hollers as the palms on Heracross begin to glow white. " Croooooooossss," it roars as it jumps and repeatedly slams its glowing palms against Magneton's body.  " Toooooooooooooon," they cry in a pained tone whilst slowly descending towards the floor. " Use Flash Cannon to get it away from you," Jasmine orders as Magneton fires the attack from their center, hitting Heracross head on and knocking it back to its original position. " Crosssss," it mumbles as it lands hard on its back, but quickly gets back up. " Use Supersonic," " dodge it and use Brick Break," they both scream at the same time. Magneton rub their heads together and release the same loud and irritating sound that confused Quilava. However, Heracross manages to avoid the cry, twist its glowing white right arm into an odd angle, and slam it over Magneton's top. " Maaaaaaaaaag," they cry before the force of the attack slams them against the ground. " Tonnn," they mumble as spirals appear in their eyes.
