The Ecruteak City Gym Battle

           " Owwwwwww," Mitch says as he slips on a small, narrow, elevated bridge-like structure overlooking what appears to be a dark and bottomless abyss. " This might be the most dangerous Gym I've ever been in," he whispers to himself as he gets up and continues to cautiously walk down the bridge( He returned Quilava to its ball to keep it safe). Eventually, the bridge ends and Mitch finds himself on a dimly lit battlefield that has six small torches placed around it. " You remind me of somebody that Whitney described to me. Are you Mitch Harper," a voice from the darkness on the other side of the battlefield asks. " Yeah, and I'm guessing that you're Morty, the leader of this Gym," Mitch replies as a grinning figure walks out of the darkness and onto the battlefield. " Yep, So here's the terms. This is a four on four battlefield. Do you accept," says Morty.( he is is wearing his HGSS outfit)

         " You bet," Mitch says as he prepares to grab a Poke Ball from his belt. " Than let's get started! Gastly, I choose you," Morty shouts as a Gastly comes out of the darkness behind and hovers in front of him. " Should have guessed that a Gym as creepy as this one would be a Ghost-type gym. Go, Croconaw," Mitch says while tossing a Poke Ball through the air. " Croc," Croconaw mumbles as it lazily lies on its back, but jumps to its feet in a battle stance upon looking up and seeing Gastly.  " Attack with Bite," Mitch commands as Croconaw opens its mouth and rushes towards Gastly. " Hypnosis," Morty says as, " Gggggggggaaaaaas," Gastly fires a bunch of black circles out of its eyes that progressively get larger the closer they get to Croconaw. Realizing that there's only one way for Croconaw to avoid the Sleep causing move, Mitch shouts a desperate command to Croconaw, " Use Water Gun towards the floor!" " Naaaaaaw," it screams as it fires the medium sized stream of water at the ground beneath itself, sending it flying into the air and causing Gastly's attack to miss. " What the" " Gggggass, Gggastly," Morty and Gastly shout in surprise as Croconaw descends toward Gastly. " Crooooooooooooc," it roars as it bites down on Gastly's body with the Bite attack that it tried to use earlier. " Gggggggggggassssssstlyyyyy," it cries while struggling in vain to free itself from Croconaw's grip. " Use Water Gun," Mitch exclaims as Croconaw, with Gastly still in its mouth, fires the medium sized water stream from its mouth, knocking Gastly to the ground. Gastly doesn't get back up and after about a minute, spirals form in its eyes.

            Morty takes a Poke Ball off of his belt and recalls Gastly to it before glancing at the darkness and saying, " Haunter, it's you turn!" " Hhhhaunter, Hhhaunt," it cries as it flies out of the darkness and hovers in front of Croconaw. " Use Dragon Claw," Mitch orders as the claws on Croconaw's right hand glow with purple energy before it jumps at Haunter. " Protect and Toxic," Morty shouts as a protective, clear bubble forms around Haunter's body, protecting it from the Dragon Claw. The bubble fades away as Haunter spits a small, purple dart out of its mouth. " Naaaw," Croconaw says in a confused tone as the dart stabs it in the thigh. It then melts into a purple slime that is quickly absorbed into Croconaw's body: it is now badly poisoned! " Naaaaaaaaaawn" it screams as the poison surges through its body. " Let me guess, you also have Venoshock on your Haunter," " No, this is a Ghost Gym not a Poison Gym, I do however, have this, use Mean Look!" " Teeeeeeer," Haunter's screeches as its eyes glow dark red while it menacingly stares at Croconaw, causing Croconaw's body to briefly flash bright red. " Now Crococaw can't be recalled until it gets knocked out out or Haunter gets knocked out," Morty explains as Croconaw shakes off the pain from the Poison damage that it took.  

          " Well, I guess Haunter will be the one getting knocked out! Croconaw, use Ice Fang," Mitch hollers as Croconaw coats its teeth in ice and lunges at Haunter with its mouth agape. " Use Shadow Punch," Morty orders as a spectral fist comes out of Haunter's right hand and punches Croconaw in the gut. " Naaaaaaw," it cries in pain, but manages to fight through it and bite down on Haunter's right arm with its ice coated teeth. " Teeeeeeeeeeer," it cries as in tries in vain to free itself . However, Haunter's Toxic comes back to save it as Poison damage surges through Croconaw's body, forcing it to let go of Haunter. " Croooooooooc," it cries as it falls to one knee. " Attack with Night Shade," Morty says as Haunter fires a beam of dark black energy from both of its eyes. " Naaaaaaaaaaw," it cries as it is knocked backwards by the attack, landing on its belly a few feet in front of Mitch with spirals in its eyes.
