Tower of the Beasts

         Mitch and Quilava walk down an Ecruteak City street as Mitch reads aloud from a book. " The Burned Tower was once known as the Bell Tower and was a resting place for the Legendary Pokémon, Lugia. However, one night lightning struck the tower, burning it down and causing Lugia to flee West. Three Pokémon are said to have perished in the fire, but were resurrected by the Legendary Pokémon, Ho-oh. They become the three Legendary Beasts, Raikou, Entei, and Suicune, and are still said to roam the Johto Region to this day." " Do you think what Morty has planned for us at the Burned Tower has anything to do with the Legendary Beasts," Mitch says as Quilava shrugs. Eventually, they come upon the Burned Tower and three familiar faces: Morty, Alexandra, and Joe. 

       " Mitch, so good to see you," " Are you kidding me," Alexandra and Joe say at the same time. Alexandra gives Mitch a hug whilst Joe just angrily stares at him. " Didn't know that you three knew each other, but since you're all finally here, it's time to go inside the tower," Morty says as the group makes their way inside.

               Mitch, Quilava, Alexandra, and Joe stand in the center of the top of the Burned Tower whilst Morty stands on the edge of it and stares off into the distance.  "Morty, what exactly are we doin," Mitch's sentence is cut off by a loud screech coming from the clouds, " Hoooooooooooooooooooo!" A large multi-colored bird-like Pokémon flies out of the clouds and hovers in front of Morty as Mitch hastily reaches for his Pokedex. " Ho-Oh, the Rainbow Pokémon, a Fire and Flying-type, legends claim that this Pokémon flies the world's skies continuously on its magnificent seven-colored wings." A stoic looking Morty turns to the three trainers present and says, " decades ago, Ho-Oh formed a pact with a Gym Leader here in Ecruteak and that pact has been past down through each and every Ecruteak Gym Leader including myself. The pact is every few months, Ho-Oh will return to Ecruteak for a day and summon the three Pokémon it resurrected to battle trainers that have recently beaten the Ecruteak Gym. This serves as a way to make the trainers stronger and as a way for Ho-0h to see just how far its creations have come. So, you guys up for a battle with some legends? " Yes," they all three say at the same time before Morty gives Ho-Oh a knowing nod.

       " Hoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo," Ho-Oh loudly screeches before three large, four-legged Pokémon jump up from the ground and land on top of the tower next to Morty. " Cuuuuuuuuuuune," " Teeeeeeeeeei," " Kooooooou," they all roar at the same time before Mitch uses the Pokedex on them. " Entei, the Volcano Pokémon, a Fire-type, it is said that when it roars, a volcano erupts somewhere around the globe. Suicune, the Aurora Pokémon, a Water-type, said to be the embodiment of north winds, it can instantly purify filthy, murky water. Raikou, the Thunder Pokémon, an Electric-type, Raikou embodies the speed of lightning. Its roars send shock waves shuddering through the air and ground as if lightning bolts were crashing down." " Three Legendary Beasts and 3 trainers. Each of you will battle one of them in a one on one battle. Now, let's see which one of them wants to go first and who it wants to battle," Morty says as Entei walks forward and stops in front of Alexandra. " Okay, Mitch and Joe step aside. Alexandra choose your Pokémon," Morty says as Mitch, Joe, Quilava, Raikou, and Suicune move aside to give Alexandra and Entei enough space to battle in.

         " I'll fight fire with fire! Slugma, I choose you," Alexandra hollers while throwing a Poke Ball into the air. " Ma, Ma, Slugma, Ma," it mumbles as it lands in front of Entei. " Slugma, the Lava Pokémon, a Fire-type, a common sight in volcanic areas, it slowly slithers around in a constant search for warm places." " Use your Rock Throw attack, Slugma," Alexandra orders as Slugma summons a bunch of rocks out of thin air and sends them towards Entei. " Teeeeeeeeei," it roars as it jumps over the rocks, lands back on the ground, and kicks some steaming sand that appeared from thin air at Slugma. " Protect yourself with Harden," Alexandra cries in a panicked tone. " Maaaa," it mumbles as its body flashes white for a few seconds and Entei's Scorching Sands attack does no damage when it hits.  " Use Incinerate," she shouts as Slugma shoots a small stream of fire from its mouth. " Ennnnnnnnnnteeeeeeeeeei," it roars as its body glows bright red before it fires a very large stream of white fire with red-orange flames spinning around it from its mouth. Entei's Overheat overpowers Slugma's Incinerate and destroys it before pushing forward and slamming into Slugma. " Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaa," it screams as it is flung through the air, landing on its back next to Alexandra with spirals in its eyes.  " That's okay, Slugma. I wouldn't expect any of my Pokémon to last very long against a Legendary Pokémon," she says while recalling it.
