Mitch vs. Nurse Joy

       " JUST KEEP RUNNING!," Mitch screams while he and his party ( Quilava, Aipom, Phanpy, Spinarak, Teddiursa, and Rhyhorn) run from a pack of angry looking Granbull. " Bull, Bull, Gran, Granbull," the pack of seven barks while chasing them. Mitch and his Pokémon end up at the edge of a cliff as the Granbull prepare to pounce. Quilava tries to use Overheat to scare them off, but all that comes out is one tiny ember. " Lavaa," it grunts in a frustrated tone as the Granbull close in. " Use Double Team and Sing," a familiar voice shouts as a Chansey jumps in front of the Granbull and creates six clones of itself. " Chaaan, Seeey, Chaan, Seeey, Seey, Chaaaan," they sing while a bunch of colorful music notes come out of their mouths and hit the Granbull pack in the face. " Bullll," they mumble before falling to the ground, fast asleep.  Chansey forms back into one and motions for Mitch and his team to follow it while pointing at a Nurse Joy that's hiding in the bushes. They silently make their way over to her.

             Now a safe distance away from the snoozing Granbull pack, Mitch explains to the Nurse Joy what happened. " We had just finished packing up the camp that we made last night and I noticed that Rhyhorn was missing. We found it practicing its moves in a clearing and a couple of the rocks from its Rock Blast ended up going into the cave that the Granbull were sleeping in. I guess they though Rhyhorn was attacking them so they chose to counterattack," he says while Rhyhorn hides its face in shame. " Well, I'm glad we were in the area and were able to help," she says with a smile as Chansey nods in agreement.  " Yeah, guess I should have asked: What are you doing out here? Shouldn't you be at a Pokémon Center?" 

          " I'm a nomadic Nurse Joy, I just travel from place to place and see if anyone needs my help in any of the areas I end up in before moving on to another place. You're clearly a trainer, would you happen to be on your way to Olivine City to challenge the gym that's there?" " Yeah, I'll be trying for my fifth Johto gym badge when we get there!" " Well in that case. How about a battle," she says as Mitch and his Pokémon get shocked expressions on their faces. " I'm a little shocked that a Pokémon Doctor wants to battle, but you're on!" " Well, a girl has to pass her time somehow! Let's make this a Two on Two battle," she says as everybody backs up to create a space big enough to battle in. 

      " Chansey, let's show him what we're made of," Joy says as Chansey waddles into the battlefield. " Aipom, you're up," Mitch shouts as Aipom reluctantly jumps into the battlefield.  " Power-Up Punch," " Mega Punch," both trainers command at the same time. " Pooooooom," Aipom cries as the fist on its tail becomes surrounded by a golden aura and it jumps forward. " Seeeeey," she cries as her right fist temporarily glows white before she slams her fist against Aipom's tail fist. The two of them clash for a few minutes before giving up and returning to their original positions. " Use Egg Bomb," Joy commands as Chansey pulls an egg made of white energy out of the egg in her pouch and throws it at Aipom. " Pooooooooom," Aipom cries as the egg hits it and explodes, causing to roll across the ground for a few seconds. It manages to stop itself just in time for Mitch to give it a command, " use Fury Swipes!" " Aiiiiiiiiiii," it screeches whilst the three fingers on its tail hand glow white and it uses them to repeatedly slash at Chansey. " Seeeeeeeeeey," she cries as she falls to one knee. " Use Power-Up Punch," Mitch screams as Aipom slams its golden tail fist into Chansey's hand, causing her to fall to all fours.

     Aipom lands back on the ground and its body flashes gold to show that its Attack stat has been raised by its successful Power-Up Punch.  " Wrap this up with Iron Tail," Mitch orders as Aipom coats in tail in metal and slams it over Chansey's back. " Chaaaaaaaaan," she cries before she falls to her belly and spirals form in her eyes. " Amazing job, Aipom, you're improving day by day," Mitch congratulates as Aipom happily grins and Joy recalls Chansey to a Heal Ball. " We're not done yet! Blissey, I choose you," she exclaims as she throws a Heal Ball into the air. " Bliss, Bliss, Sey, Blissey," a Pokémon that looks similar to Chansey happily cries whilst coming out of the Heal Ball. " Blissey, the Happiness Pokémon, a Normal-type, the evolved form of Chansey, a kindhearted Pokémon that will care for any sick person or Pokémon until their health improves. The eggs it lays are delicious and bring good fortune to those who eat them." 

         " Laaaaaa," Quilava mumbles while staring lovingly at Blissey. ( Mitch doesn't notice this, but Rhyhorn, Spinarak, Teddiursa, and Phanpy do and it causes them to sweat drop in embarrassment) " Aipom, use Shock Wave," Mitch orders as the hand on Aipom's tail begins to spark with electricity and it slams the hand down on the ground, sending a wave of electricity towards Blissey. " Seeeeey," she cries as the attack hits her, but does little damage. " Use Dynamic Punch," Joy commands while Blissey's right fist begins to glow with bright red energy.  " Bliiiiissssseeeeeey," she screams as she jumps forward and gives Aipom a powerful punch to the chest. " Poooooooooooom," it cries in a pained tone while it flies backwards and lands a few inches in front of Mitch. It slowly gets back to its feet as Mitch tells it to, " Use Iron Tail!" " Poooom," it screeches as it jumps and slams its metal coated tail into the side of Blissey's head. " Seeeeeey," she cries while rubbing the side of her head.  " Now use Power-Up Punch," Mitch commands as Aipom prepares to punch Blissey. " Defend yourself with Defense Curl and then use Body Slam," Joy shouts as Blissey curls into a ball, causing Power-Up Punch to do no damage when it hits. 

           " Seeeeeey," Blissey shouts as she uncurls, jumps into the air, and lands on top of Aipom with all of her body weight. After a few seconds, she hops off of Aipom, revealing that it was defeated by the Body Slam. " Pooomm," it weakly moans as Mitch recalls it and begins to think of who he is going to use next. Mitch's thoughts are interrupted by a loud roar, " Rhyyyyyyhooooorn!" Rhyhorn runs into the battlefield and stares at Blissey with a determined look on its face. " Well, it looks like Rhyhorn wants to try to redeem itself for causing those Granbull to chase you," Joy explains as he nods in agreement. " Well, in that case, use Dragon Rush," he commands as light blue energy forms around Rhyhorn's body. " Hooooooorn," it roars as it jumps at Blissey and the blue energy surrounding it forms the outline of a dragon. Rhyhorn slams into Blissey and sends her stumbling, but she manages to catch herself before she falls. " Blissey, use Ice Beam," Joy orders while Blissey fires a medium sized beam of ice from her mouth. " Rhyyyyyyyyy," it cries as the Super Effective move hits it in the shoulder. " Shake it off and use Take Down," Mitch shouts as four streaks of red energy surround Rhyhorn while it stampedes towards Blissey. 

     " Use another Ice Beam," Joy commands as the medium sized beam of ice is fired from Blissey's mouth. " Hoooooooorn," Rhyhorn cries as the attack hits it, but it manages to push through the attack and slam into Blissey with its Take Down. " Blisssss," " Rhyyyy," they both cry as they fall to the ground, Rhyhorn's Rock Head ability prevents it from taking the Recoil Damage from Take Down , and struggle to get back up. Blissey manages to get to her feet just as Rhyhorn's body begins to glow in a blinding white light. After a few minutes, the light fades and Mitch's newly evolved Rhydon lets out a loud roar, " Rhyyyyyyyyyyydoooooooooooon!" " Well, it looks like you Rhyhorn evolved," Nurse Joy happily says as Blissey stares in amazement. " Yeah, and based on what my Pokedex is showing, it learned a new move when it evolved. Rhydon, what do you say we use that new move," Mitch says as Rhydon nods and eagerly grins. " Dooooooooooooon," it roars its right arm and right hand glow white before its hand shapeshifts into the end of a hammer. " USE HAMMER ARM," Mitch loudly exclaims as Rhydon rushes forward and swats Blissey across the chest with its hammer shaped arm. 

       " Bliiiiiiiisssseeeeeey," she cries as she is knocked backwards by the attack, landing on the ground with a loud thud. " Seeeeyy," she mumbles before spirals appear in her eyes. " Great job, Rhydon," Mitch says as his newly evolved Pokémon lets out a satisfied grunt and Joy recalls Blissey to its Heal Ball.  " Great Battle! Now there's one more thing I need to do. " What's that," Mitch asks before Joy sprays an unprepared Rhydon with a Max Potion. " I'm still a nurse! Now bring Aipom back out," she says with a smile as she holds up a Max Revive and Rhydon begins to uncontrollably cough due to the fact that she sprayed the Max Potion right below its mouth. " Okay, geez," a flabbergasted Mitch says as he reaches for Aipom's Poke Ball.
