The Blackthorn City Gym Battle ( Part 2)

  Scizor and Aerodactyl silently fall out of the sky and land on the battlefield next to each other with spirals in their eyes. " Impressive! It has been years since one of my Pokémon battled another person's Pokémon into a draw," Clair says while sending Aerodactyl back to its Great Ball. " Glad we gave you something to be happy about," Mitch chuckles as he puts Scizor back in its Sport Ball. " Donphan, it's your turn," he shouts while throwing a standard Poké Ball at the battlefield. " Don, Phan, Phan,Donphan, Phan," it trumpets as it lands in the battlefield and uses its trunk to wave at Clair. She smiles and waves back before throwing an Ultra Ball into the air. " Drag, Drag, Dragonite, Drag," a Dragonite roars as it flies a couple of laps around the arena. 

  " Start with Play Rough," Mitch hollers as Donphan's body begins to glow pink. " Phaaaaaann," it trumpets before jumping at Dragonite and repeatedly kicking it, stabbing it with its tusks, and beating it with its trunk. " Draaaaaaaaaaaaaggggg," it cries before managing to knock the Ground-type off of it. " Air Slash," Clair orders as Dragonite uses its wings to send a long and sharp wave of wind towards Donphan. " Defense Curl and then Ice Shard," Mitch shouts before Donphan curls into a ball and the Air Slash is unable to damage it. " Phaaaaaaan," it yells as it uncurls and fires the small beam of ice out of its trunk. " Move aside and use Ice Punch," Clair exclaims as Dragonite flies a few inches to the left to avoid the Ice Shard, coats its right fist in ice, and punches it in the side. " Phaaaaaaan," it groans as the Super Effective attack knocks it off balance for a few seconds. " Horn Attack," Mitch yells as the Armor Pokémon regains its balance. " Dooooooonnnn," it roars as its tusks glow white and it uses them to stab Dragonite in the chest. " Draggggg," it grunts in pain before rubbing the area that was stabbed. " Rollout," he orders as Donphan curls into a ball and begins to roll towards Dragonite. " Fight back with Dragon Rush," Clair screams as light blue energy in the outline of a dragon form around Dragonite as it flies towards Donphan. The two Pokémon collide and Dragonite's move proves itself superior, it forces Donphan to uncurl and sends it flying backwards. " Phaaaaaan," it yells before being slammed against the concrete wall. " Donnn" it whines as it lands on the ground with spirals in its eyes.

  " And for the first time since this battle started, we both have the same amount of Pokémon remaining," Clair says whilst Mitch recalls Donphan. " Crobat, your turn," he shouts whilst throwing a Poké Ball upwards. " Cro, Bat, Bat, Crobat, Cro," it screeches while hovering a few feet in front of Dragonite. " Cross Poison," Mitch shouts as all four of Crobat's wings glow purple and it quickly flies at Dragonite. " Fight it with Wing Attack," Clair yells before both of Dragonite's wings glow white. " Crooooo," " Dragggg," they both yell whilst slamming all of their wings together. Eventually, the two attacks fade out and both Pokémon return to their original positions. " Use Shadow Ball," Mitch orders as Crobat fires a big ball of black energy from its mouth. Dragonite tries to avoid the attack, but ends up getting skimmed on the back by it. " Nittte," it grunts in a pained tone before Clair commands it to " Use Dragon Rush!" " Draaaaaaaaaaaaaaagggg," it roars as the blue energy forms around it and creates the outline of a dragon. " Use Supersonic," Mitch shouts as Crobat releases a spiraling sound wave from its mouth. " Draaaaagggg," it groans as attack hits it in the face and the resulting Confusion knocks it off course and causes it to slam into the concrete wall. " Drrrrrrrrraaaaggggg," it says as it stands up with spinning spirals in its eyes and begins to clumsily walk across the battlefield. " Poison Fang," Mitch yells as Crobat flies down and bites on to Dragonite's right shoulder with its glowing purple teeth, it briefly stops to wince before going back to walking around in its Confused state. " Dragggggg," it shouts as it Ice Punches itself in the belly a couple of times. " Use Steel Wing," Mitch hollers as Crobat lets go of Dragonite's shoulder, coats its wings in metal, and slams them over Dragonite's head. " Niiiiiteee," it groans as it falls to the ground on its belly and the spinning spirals turn into still spirals.
