Mitch's Johto Journey

Cave of Trust

    Lapas quickly makes it way across the sea as Mitch hangs on tightly to its back. Mitch glances behind them to look at the dark and foreboding storm clouds that are rapidly closing in on them before a shout from Lapras catches his attention. " Laaap, Laaaap," it cries as it uses one of its flippers to point at the entrance to a large cave on a nearby island. OK, OK, we'll take shelter from the storm in there! Full speed ahead," he shouts as Lapras picks up speed. They reach the island and Mitch quickly jumps off of Lapras and recalls it to its Poké Ball before rushing towards the cave. " Typhlosion, light your flame," he shouts as he throws a ball into the air the second he gets into the cave. " Tyyyyyy," it shouts as it comes out and immediately ignites its neck flame, lighting up the room they're it. They are standing in a very large chamber with the entrances to multiple small tunnels and one large tunnel in it. 

    " Guess this is home for the night. Try to find something to make a fire with," Mitch says as a loud and heavy downpour begins outside. He and Typhlosion start to look around for wood or anything that could be used to make a campfire as something watches them from a nearby crevice in the cave wall. " Crrrrrrrooooooo," it begins to angrily growl as Mitch nears the crevice it's in. " Typhlosion, do you hear that," he asks before whatever is in the crevice emerges from it and angrily stares at Mitch. " Crooooooooooooooo," it screeches as Mitch grabs his Pokédex from his pocket. " Crobat, the Bat Pokémon, a Poison and Flying-type, the evolved form of Golbat and the final evolved form of Zubat, its hind limbs have become another set of wings. Crobat expertly maneuvers its four wings to dart in exquisite fashion through even the most confined caves without losing any speed."  " Crooooooo," it shouts as it uses its wings to send a long and sharp wave of towards Mitch. " Tyyyyyyyyyy," Typhlosion shouts as it jumps in front of the Air Slash and uses Defense Curl to protect itself and Mitch from damage. " Thanks buddy," Mitch says as he pats Typhlosion on the back, who smiles and happily shouts " Losiooon," in response. Upon seeing that, Crobat becomes very angry as it remembers something from its past. 

**Flashback**  

    " Go Poké Ball," a younger female trainer shouts as the throws her empty Poké Ball at a tired looking Zubat. The ball bonks Zubat on the head and sucks it inside. The ball lands on the ground and the capture noise goes off as the female trainer walks up to it and picks it up. " Welcome to the team, Zubat! I know we'll be great friends," she happily says.

**Flashback Ends**

     "Baaaaat," Crobat angrily screeches as fires multiple balls of purple sludge from its mouth. " Look out! Counter the Sludge Bomb with Flamethrower," Mitch shouts as Typhlosion quickly turns around and shoots a medium sized stream of fire out of its mouth. The sludge balls hit the Flamethrower and explode on impact, but the Flamethrower keeps going and hits Crobat in the face. " Baaaaaaaaaaaat," it cries as it is slammed against the cave wall, the force of the impact even knocks a large rock loose from the cave wall. Crobat lands on the cave floor with a loud thud and the rock that it knocked loose ends on falling on its left wings. " Baaaaaaaaaaaat," it loudly cries in a pained tone. " Oh, crap! Crobat, let us help you," Mitch shouts as he tries to rush over to Crobat, but is stopped by an angry glare from it. It then remembers something else from its past. 

**Flashback**  

    " Finish this with Ice Beam"  a trainer shouts as their Staryu fires a medium sized beam of ice out of its top appendage. The attack slams into a badly damaged Zubat and knocks it out of the sky. " Baattt," it groans as it falls unconscious. The victorious trainer recalls their Staryu and walks off as Zubat's trainer runs up to it and uses a Revive on it. " That's okay, Zubat, we'll just keep training until you're unbeatable," she says as she cradles Zubat in her arms. " Baaatt," it replies with a weak smile.
