Mitch's Johto Journey

An Eggciting Tournament ( Part 6)

   "We have reached the final round of this Harebell Town Tournament! The winner of this battle will be rewarded with a Pokémon Egg," the referee screams as the crowd, which has more than quadrupled in size since the start of the tournament, starts to cheer.  " In the Left Corner, we will have Moana from Blackthorn City and in the Right Corner, we will have Mitch from Pallet Town," the ref explains as Mitch and Moana take their places on their respective sides of the battlefield. " Mitch will have the first move! Let the final round begin!" " Sudowoodo, I choose you," Mitch hollers as he throws a Poké Ball. " Woodo, Sudo, Sudo, Sudowoodo," it shouts as it comes out of the ball and lands on the battlefield. " Azumarill, I choose you," Moana cries out as she throws a Lure Ball. " Azu, Azu, Marill, Azumarill, Azu," it squeaks as it appears in front of Sudowoodo.  

  " Use Wood Hammer," Mitch yells as Sudowoodo's right arm glows bright green and shape shifts into the end of a hammer. " Hide! Use Defense Curl," Moana screams in desperation as Azumarill curls into a ball and is protected from the Super Effective Wood Hammer damage. " Use Aqua Tail when you uncurl," she hollers as Azumarill quickly uncurls from the Defense Curl, coats its tail in water, and slams it against Sudowoodo's chest. " Suuuuuuuuuuudooooooo," it screams as it stumbles backwards and falls down on one knee. " Gotta love Huge Power," she chuckles as Mitch uses his Pokédex to see what she's talking about. " Huge Power. Any Pokémon with this ability has double the Attack power it would normally have."  " Use Play Rough," Moana yells as Azumarill's body begins to glow pink and it runs towards Sudowoodo. " Defend yourself with Rock Throw," Mitch orders whilst Sudowoodo gets back to its feet. 

  " Wooooooooodooooo," Sudowoodo screams as it summons a bunch of rocks and sends them at the incoming Azumarill. " Aaaaaaaaaaaaazuuuuuuuuuu," it screams as the rocks hit it and knock it to the ground, stopping its Play Rough. " Use Slam," Mitch hollers as Sudowoodo's left arm temporarily glows white and it prepares to slam it over Azumarill's head. " Bounce," Moana yells before Azumarill uses its feet to propel itself high into the air, making Slam miss. " Riiiiiiiiiiillllll," it exclaims as it rapidly descends and slams its entire body against Sudowoodo. Sudowoodo lands on its back with Azumarill triumphantly standing on top of it.  Suuuuu...doo," it moans before spirals appear in its eyes.

" Sudowoodo is out of the battle," the referee shouts as Mitch recalls it. " Ursaring, I choose you," he calls out while throwing a ball upwards. " Ursa, Ursa, Ursaring, Ring, Ursa," it loudly roars. " Use Metal Claw," Mitch commands as Ursaring's right paw becomes coated in silver metal. " Ursaaaaaaaaa," it roars as it prepares to strike Azumarill with the paw. " Push it back with Aqua Tail," Moana orders. " Azuuuuuu," it squeaks while slamming its water covered tail against Ursaring's paw. " Ur............saaaaaa," it groans as it is slowly pushed backwards. " You have a free paw, use Slash with it!"  The claws on Ursaring's left paw glow bright white and extend by a couple inches before it takes them and slices them across Azumarill's back. " Azuuuuuuuuu," it cries as it briefly lets up on its Aqua Tail, allowing Ursaring to push through and slice it across the back with Metal Claw, just a few inches below the area that Slash was used on. The pain forces Azumarill done on all fours, but its Aqua Tail is still going and it slams it into the side of Ursaring's right leg. 

 " Riiiiiingg," Ursaring cries as it falls down on its left knee and clutches its right leg. As Ursaring tries to shake off the pain, Azumarill manages to get back on its feet. " Bounce," Moana yells as Azumarill propels itself back into the air and begins to descend. " Try to use Hidden Power," Mitch orders as Ursaring takes its right palm and shoots out a small Ursaring made of yellowish green pixelated energy. " Azuuuuuuuuuuuuu," it cries as the small Ursaring hits it and explodes, knocking it in the opposite direction and stopping it from completing its Bounce. Azumarill hits the ground with a thud and slowly pushes itself back to its feet, this gives Ursaring enough time to get back up and attack again. " Use Slash," Mitch shouts as Ursaring stomps forward and prepares to slice Azumarill across the face. " Defense Curl," Moana mumbles as Azumarill curls up and is protected from damage. " Now use Play Rough," she screams as Azumarill uncurls with its body glowing pink. " Use Scary Face before it can fully start the attack!" " Ursaaaaaa," it aggressively growls with its eyes glowing bright red. " Azzzzuuuu," it squeaks in a terrified tone as it is forced to temporarily stop its attack and its body flashes flashes red to show that its Speed stat went down. " SLASH," Mitch loudly exclaims as Ursaring slices the still stunned Azumarill across the face with its claws. " Azuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu," it cries as it holds its face and falls over on its back, spirals appear in its eyes just as it hits the ground.
