Phanpy and the Lost Pichu

       " Pik, Chu, Chu, Pika," a Pikachu tiredly pants as it rushes through the undergrowth during a storm. A large bolt of lightning slams into a tree directly in front of the Pikachu, causing it to fall to the ground. Luckily, the tree lands on a small boulder, giving the Pikachu and the 4 other Pokémon, another Pikachu and four Pichu, following it just enough space to pass through. Eventually, the family crosses into a small clearing with a large bush in the center of it. "Pika, Pika, Chu, Pika," the lead Pikachu shouts as it stops in front of the bush and uses its tail to push away the branches, revealing the burrow that the family of Electric-types lives in.  The other Pikachu stops in front of the burrow and allows the Pichu to enter it first. However, one of the Pichu is lagging behind and trips over a small rock. " Chuuuu," it cries out as it lands face first on the ground. One of the Pikachu is about to go help it up when an extremely strong gust of wind blows through the air.  " Chuuuuuuuuuuuuu," the Pichu cries as the gust picks it up and blows it far out of sight and completely off of the small mountain they are on, leaving its terrified parents in a state of shock. 

  The Next Day

          " Man, that storm ended up being way worse than I thought it was going to be," Mitch says as he and his party ( Typhlosion, Lapras, Phanpy, Aipom, Spinarak, Houndour) exit a small cave. He takes a look around at the island they're on ( a forested island with many small mountains on it) before turning to his Pokémon and saying, "Alright, We are going to do some training here before we leave! Are you guys up for it?" Before any of Mitch's Pokémon have time to respond to his question, they are interrupted by a pained groan from the nearby bushes, " Chuuuuu." " What was that," Mitch says as they walk over to the bushes and Phanpy uses it trunk to move the branches aside, revealing the badly wounded Pichu that was blown away from its family the night before. " Looks like a miniature Pikachu," he says as he takes his Pokédex out of his pocket. " Pichu, the Tiny Mouse Pokémon, an Electric-type, it is not yet skilled at storing electricity. It may send out a jolt if amused or startled."  As if on cue, the Pichu's eyes flash open and it uses a Thunder Shock on everyone. Phanpy in unaffected by it due to its Ground typing, but everyone else is left stunned for a few seconds.

      " Dour, Dour, Houndour," Houndour angrily barks as it lunges at Pichu, but is stopped by Phanpy. " Py, Py, Py, Phan, Py, Phanpy," it shouts as it calms Houndour down, rushes over to Mitch's backpack, grabs a Full Restore from it, and runs back to the injured Pichu. "Chuuuuuu," it aggressively growls before attempting to use Thunder Shock on Phanpy. Phanpy takes no damage, sets the Full Restore on the ground next to PIchu, and begins to gently rub its head with its trunk. " Py, Py, Phan, Py, Py," it says in  comforting tone before grabbing the Full Restore with its trunk and using it on Pichu. " Chuuuuuuuuu," it whispers in a joyful tone as its health is fully restored. " Chu, Chu, Chu," it happily shouts as it jumps to its feet and begins to play with Phanpy's trunk. Eventually, the rest of Mitch's Pokémon  ( except Houndour, who angrily stomps off to sleep on a nearby rock) manage to warm up to Pichu and begin playing with it.  " Well, it would appear that we have ourselves an new friend," Mitch says as he prepares to throw a Poké  Ball at Pichu. 

    " Chuuuuu, Chuuuu," Pichu cries in a terrified tone upon seeing the Poké Ball. It hides behind Phanpy and whispers something in its ear. Phanpy patiently waits for Pichu to finish its story before walking over to Mitch and using its trunk to gesture at a nearby mountain next to the ocean. It then uses its trunk to draw a picture of two Pikachu and four Pichu in the sand. " So, this Pichu was separated from its family and wants to get back to them," Mitch asks as Phanpy nods its head. " Well, let's get it back to them," he says as Phanpy happily smiles. " Chuuuuuu," Pichu cheers before jumping on Phanpy's back and pointing at the mountain that Phanpy gestured at earlier. " So, you live somewhere on that mountain," Mitch asks as Pichu nods in agreement. " Alright than! Houndour, come over here," he shouts as it groans in annoyance. " Douurrr," it mumbles before jumping off of its rock and walking over to its trainer. " Can you smell of Pichu and see if you can catch the scent of its family?" " Hound," it grunts in a slightly aggravated tone before walking over and sniffing Pichu.  Houndour finishes up before turning to everyone else and nodding. " Okay, you lead the way," Mitch says as he recalls Lapras, Aipom, and Spinarak to their balls.
