Typhlosion vs. Feraligatr

      Mitch has made it to Cianwood City and he and Typhlosion are currently making their way to the Pokémon Center. " Jasmine said that the Gym Leader of this town uses Fighting-types, so we should change up the team a little and make it a perfect counter to that type," he says as Typhlosion listens carefully. They are about to walk through the doors of the center when another Trainer and their Pokémon walk out of it and almost bump into them. " Watch where you're going," Joe rudely mumbles before seeing that it's Mitch. " Well, you losers finally made your way out here? I guess you were thinking about taking on Chuck's gym. You should quit before you even try because I trained on this island for about a week and I still struggled in my battle against him. You losers don't stand a stance," he mocks as his Feraligatr, the obvious evolved form of the Croconaw he had, smirks at Typhlosion, it angrily grits its teeth in response. 

    " Well, if you struggled than I should have no problem," Mitch confidently mocks back. " What? You think that us having a bunch of battles that end in draws makes you better than me? I'll have you know I've got an lot stronger since our last battle and I can easily crush you! Meet us at the battlefield behind this center when you're done doing whatever you're going to do in it. We're going to have another one on one battle between our Johto starters and we'll crush you and your wimpy Typhlosion," Joe says as he and Feraligatr walk behind the Pokémon Center. " Oh, he's on," Mitch as Typhlosion nods in agreement. They walk into the center and begin to get their team ready for their Gym Battle with Chuck. Mitch also takes the time to scan Feraligatr on his Pokédex in order to see what he's dealing with. " Feraligatr, the Big Jaw Pokémon, a Water-type, the evolved form of Croconaw and the final evolved form of Totodile, when it bites with its massive and powerful jaws, it shakes its head and savagely tears its victim up."

   Mitch and Joe stand on the opposite sides of the man-made battlefield behind the Pokémon Center with Typhlosion and Feraligatr having already taken their places on it. " Feraligatr, time to crush these losers, use Dragon Claw," Joe hollers as the claws on Feraligatr's right hand glow with purple energy before it rushes towards Typhlosion. " Protect yourself with Defense Curl and then attack with Rollout," Mitch shouts as Typhlosion curls into a ball, stopping Feraligatr's Dragon Claw from doing any damage. " Gaaatrr," it moans in frustration as Typhlosion begins to roll while still in a ball.  " Tyyy," it grunts as it slams into Feraligatr and sends it stumbling. " Quick, uncurl and use Flamethrower," Mitch screams as Typhlosion uncurls from its Rollout and shoots a medium sized stream of fire out of its mouth. " Feraaaaaaaaa," Feraligatr shouts as the flames hit it in the chest and sending it skidding across the battlefield on its back. 

    Feraligatr stops in front of Joe and quickly gets back to its feet. " Feraligatr, this is embarrassing, we can't lose to this two or have another draw! Fight back with Surf," he angrily shouts. " Gaaaaaaaaatrrrrrr," it roars as it summons a large wave of water that it stands on top of. " Tyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy," Typhlosion loudly cries as the powerful wave slams into it and washes it backwards. " Sioonnn," it groans as it lands on its back and Feraligatr lands on its feet next to it. " Use Crunch on it while it's still done," Joe orders as Feraligatr, with a black aura surrounding its mouth, powerfully bites down on Typhlosion's right arm. " Looooooosioooon," it loudly screams as it tries to free itself from Feraligatr's jaws.  " Typhlosion, this might be a dirty move, but you need to blow a Smokescreen into Feraligatr's eyes," Mitch shouts. " Tyyyy," it says while blowing a cloud of smoke into Feraligatr's eyes. " Gaaaaaaatrrr," it moans as it lets go of Typhlosion's arm and rubs its burning eyes whilst stumbling backwards. 

     As Feraligatr rubs the burning sensation out of its eyes, Typhlosion manages to get back to its feet, having finally recovered from being hit by Surf. " Guess I should've expected a couple of losers like you to try something like that. Feraligatr, hit it with Aqua Tail," Joe orders as Feraligatr's tail becomes coated in water.  " Hey, if it works, it works. Typhlosion counterattack with Flame Charge,"  Mitch exclaims as Typhlosion's gets down on all fours and its body becomes surrounded by translucent fire. " Looooosiooooon, " Feraaaaaa," the two of them shout as they run at each other. " What are you doing!? There's no way Flame Charge will land, Aqua Tail will just knock Typhlosion back and cancel it out!" " Oh, there's a way and it's by borrowing a strategy from one of my other Pokémon! Typhlosion, keep using Flame Charge, but use Flamethrower towards the ground!" " Tyyyyyyy," it grunts as it shoots a Flamethrower at the ground beneath it, propelling it high through the air and causing Feraligatr's Aqua Tail to hit nothing,  " Ferraaa," it mumbles in a confused tone before Typhlosion slams into the top of its head with Flame Charge. " Gaaaaaaaaaatrrrrrr," it cries as it is knocked to the ground by the force of the impact. Typhlosion lands next to it and its body briefly flashes light red to signify that its Speed stat was increased by the Flame Charge. 

    Typhlosion runs back to its original position as Feraligatr slowly gets back to its feet. " Another cheap move. Feraligatr, use Hydro Pump," Joe hollers as Feraligatr fires a large stream of water out of its mouth. " I don't think that  was as bad as that Smokescreen strategy that we used. Fight back with Flamethrower, Typhlosion,"  Mitch exclaims as Typhlosion shoots a medium sized stream of fire out of its mouth. The two attacks collide for a few seconds, but Hydro Pump proves itself stronger, it pushes through the Flamethrower and heads towards Typhlosion. " Look out," Mitch yells as Typhlosion barely manages to avoid the Hydro Pump. " Hurry and use Dragon Claw," Joe screams as Feraligatr quickly runs forward and slashes Typhlosion across the chest with its glowing purple claws. " Siooooooon," it cries as it stumbles backwards whilst clutching its chest. " Don't let up, use Slash," Joe hollers as the claws on Feraligatr's right hand glow white and extend a few inches. " Feraaaaa," it roars as it prepares to slice Typhlosion across the face. " Catch its arm and then use Swift," Mitch yells in a panicked tone. 

     " Sioonnn," Typhlosion groans as it barely manages to catch Feraligatr's arm and fire multiple yellow energy stars from its mouth.  " Gaaaaaaaaatrrrrr," it cries as the stars hit it between the eyes and explode, it stops trying to use Slash because of the pain. " Now use Overheat," Mitch orders as Typhlosion's body begins to glow bright red. " Well, Well, this should be interesting. Last time I saw you try to use that move, it did nothing and caused Raikou to beat you. Probably won't do anything this time either ," Joe says mockingly says with a grin. Typhlosion looks up at Joe and gives him a confident smirk before, " Tyyyyyyyyyyyyyphloooooooooooosioooooooon," firing a very large stream of white fire with red-orange flames spiraling around it from its mouth. " Gaaaaaaaaaaaaattttttrrrrrr," Feraligatr cries out as the powerful Fire-type slams into its chest and flings it backwards. " Ferrrraa," it groans as it lands on its back in front Joe with a loud thud.  " You were saying," Mitch says while smirking as Typhlosion chuckles. Joe's face turns blood red as he gets a furious look on his face. " YOU LITTLE PUNK! I'LL TEACH YOU TO GET SMUG! FERALIGATR, GET UP AND USE HYDRO CANNON!"

   Feraligatr's body begins to glow bright blue as it gets back to its feet. " Feeeeeeeeraaaaaaaliiiigaaaaaaatrrrr," it roars whilst firing an extremely large stream of water out of its mouth. " Defense Curl," Mitch whispers as Typhlosion quickly curls into a ball, protecting itself from the Hydro Cannon. " YOU WIMPS! STOP HIDING AND FIGHT BACK," Joe yells as Feraligatr goes into Recharge mode. " Don't mind if we do! Typhlosion use Lava Plume and then Quick Attack!" " Loooooosion," it shouts as its front legs glow crimson red and it slams them on the ground, causing a geyser of fire to erupt from underneath Feraligatr. " Gaaaaaatr," it yells as it is flung through the air. Just before Feraligatr hits the ground, Typhlosion, with a white energy streak trailing behind it, slams into it at a high speed. " Feraaaaa," it shouts as is flung a few inches backwards, landing on its belly in front of Joe. It manages to get back to its feet and nod to Joe as a way to show that it's done recharging from the Hydro Cannon. " End this. Use Surf," he shouts as Feraligatr summons the large wave again and rides on top of it. " Typhlosion,  use Swift," Mitch yells as Typhlosion fires the yellow energy stars from its mouth. " Gaaaaaatrrrr," Feraligatr shouts as the stars explode on its chest and knock it off of the wave. However, that doesn't stop the Surf, the wave continues on and slams into Typhlosion, washing it backwards as it cries out, " Losiooooonn!"

    When the Surf wave fades away, Typhlosion, on its belly, and Feraligatr, on its back, both lie on the ground with spirals in their eyes. " ANOTHER DRAW! I"M SICK AND FED UP WITH THIS! WHEN YOU FINISH UP WITH CHUCK, I WANT YOU TO COME TO THE LAKE OF RAGE, WE'RE GOING TO HAVE ANOTHER FULL BATTLE THERE AND I'M GOING TO PUT AN END TO THESE DRAWS ," Joe angrily claims before recalling Feraligatr and walking off. " I'll take that challenge" Mitch whispers to himself before heading over to check on Typhlosion.
