Mitch's Johto Journey

Silver Conference: Round 4

  " This Mountaintop Battlefield is where our next battle of Round 4 will take place," the announcer explains as a large rocky mountain with a flat peak rises up of the ground.  " Our next two trainers are now arriving, in the Left Corner we have Atto Crawford from Cianwood City and in the Right Corner is Mitch Harper from Pallet Town," the announcer says as the crowd roars. Whilst the jumbo trons begin to switch between an image of Atto's face and an image of Mitch's face, the areas they are standing in rise up and making the two trainers even with the top of the battlefield. After multiple minutes pass, the jumbo trons stop on an image of Mitch's face and he quickly pulls out a Poké Ball. " Harper gets to start the battle off! Let's get this started," the announcer shouts as Mitch throws the ball in his hand into the battlefield.  

  " Meg, Meg, Meganium, Nium," Mitch's Meganium huffs as it lands on the mountain peak. " I guess you thought I would being using Lanturn, but I have other plans! Magcargo, I choose you," Atto hollers before throwing an Ultra Ball into the battlefield. " Mag, Magcargo, Mag, Cargo," it yells as it emerges from its ball a few feet in front of Meganium. " See what a Petal Blizzard does," Mitch yells before the flower around Meganium's neck glows light green and it releases multiple flower petals of varying colors from it. " Caaaaargooooo," it yells as the petals explode on its shell. " Use Lava Plume," Atto orders as Magcargo rears up and its shell glows crimson red. " Maaaaaaggggg," it shouts whilst slamming its body down on the ground very hard, causing a geyser of fire to erupt from underneath Meganium. " Meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeggg." it screams as it is flung into the air and over the edge of the peak, the powerful updrafts coming from beneath the stadium catch it and blow it back on the field. Meganium manages to shakily land on its feet, giving it another chance to attack. " Bullet Seed," Mitch hollers before " Mmmmegggg." Meganium releases multiple seeds of green energy from its mouth. " Maaaaaaagggg," Magcargo cries as the seeds explode on its face. 

   " Use a Rock Slide," Atto orders as Magcargo's body becomes outlined in a light brown aura and it makes a bunch of large boulders appear above Meganium. " Niuuuuuummmm," Meganium cries as the rocks fall on top of it and briefly pin it to the ground. It takes a couple of minutes, but the rocks disappear, allowing Meganium to slowly get back up. " Body Slam," Mitch shouts as Meganium jumps into the air and lands on Magcargo's head with all of its body weight. " Maaaaaaaaagggggg," Magcargo cries as static electricity surges through its body: it was paralyzed by the Body Slam. Meganium steps off of Magcargo and attempts to walk back to its original position, but is stopped by its body bursting into flames. " Meeeeeeeeeeeegggg," it screams before the flames disappear and it silently falls over on its side with spirals in its eyes.

  " Meganium falls to Burn damage! It must have gotten Burned by Magcargo's Flame Body ability when it used Body Slam! Such a shame too, it really looked like it had Magcargo on the ropes after paralyzing it despite its type disadvantage," the announcer screams as a stunned Mitch recalls Meganium. " Quagsire, your turn," he shouts while throwing out another Poké Ball. " Sire, Sire, Quag, Quagsire," it cheerfully shouts as it arrives in the battlefield. " Use Aqua Tail," he exclaims as the Water Fish Pokémon coats its tail in water and jumps at Magcargo. " Here's a move you would never expect a Pokémon like Magcargo to know! Use Reflect," Atto shouts as Magcargo's eyes flash pink and and a rectangular, glass-like structure appears in front of it. " Siiiiiiiiirrrrrrrrre," Quagsire screams as it bounces off of the structure and takes the damage that Magcargo would have taken from Aqua Tail. Quagsire lands on its back and struggles to get back up as Atto tells Magcargo to, " Attack with another Lava Plume!"  Magcargo tries to rear up to use the attack, but is stopped by paralysis, which gives Quagsire enough time to get back to its feet and attack. " Let's try Muddy Water," Mitch commands before Quagsire stomps on the ground with its right foot, sending a little wave of dark brown water at Magcargo. " Caaaaaargooooo," it screams as the wave hits it and washes it to the edge of the peak. " Maaagg," it whines before spirals appear in its eyes.
