The Shockproof Water-type

                   With Olivine City still a few days away, Mitch and Quilava make their way down a graveled path that passes through a field of tall grass. " Hold tight, Mareep! We'll get you to a Nurse Joy soon" a trainer shouts as they run down the path, coming from the direction that Mitch is going in, whilst holding a badly injured Mareep in their arms. " What happened there," a curious Mitch asks whilst pointing at the Mareep. " There's a small pond about half a mile from here that we were resting at. As we were resting, a Pokémon I have never seen before emerged from that pond. I battled it with Mareep in an attempt to capture and for some reason, Mareep's Electric-type moves did no damage when they hit even though that thing was very clearly a Water-type. It managed to beat us before we realized that using Electric attacks was pointless," they say before continuing to run in their search for a Pokémon Center.  " Want to go see what's up with this Water-type," Mitch asks Quilava as it nods in agreement.

           " Anybody here," Mitch hollers out as he and Quilava stand in front of the pond that the trainer was talking about. After a few seconds, " Wooooooop," a small, blue, bipedal, axolotl-like Pokémon with no arms jumps out of the pond and lands in front of them. " Time to see it this thing really is unaffected by Electric Moves! Spinarak, use Electroweb," he exclaims as he throws Spinarak's Poké Ball. " Raaaaaaaaak," it squeals whilst firing a web made out of electricity from its mouth. The web lands on the mystery Pokémon and does no damage, allowing the Pokémon to easily shake it off. " Okay, time to see what this thing's deal is," Mitch mumbles as he brings out his Pokédex. " Wooper, the Water Fish Pokémon, a Water and Ground-type, it lives in cold water, half burying itself in mud at the bottom to sleep." 

        " Guess I should've realized that it was a Ground-type of some kind," Mitch says as Wooper fires multiple balls of mud out of its mouth at Spinarak. " Raaaaaaak," Spinarak cries as the Mud Shot hits it and knocks it back. " That was a cheap shot! Hit it back with Leech Life!" Mitch orders as Spinarak jumps back to its feet with an angry look on its face. " Spinaaaaa," Spinarak's fangs glow yellowish-green as it jumps at Wooper and bites it on the chest. " Woooooooooooo," Wooper cries as its body glows yellowish-green to show that Spinarak is draining its energy. " Spinaaa," Spinarak whimpers in a pleasured tone thanks to the Leech Life restoring some of its health. Eventually, the Leech Life stops and Spinarak quickly crawls back to its original position. " Woooooooopeeer," it cries as, to the surprise of Mitch, Spinarak, and Quilava, a large ice fist emerges from the right side of its body. " Peeeeeeeeer," it exclaims as it jumps forward and uses that ice fist to punch Spinarak in the face. " Raaaaaaaak," it cries as the attack sends in rolling across the ground, it stops next to Mitch and slowly gets back to its feet. Wooper lands back on the ground and the ice fist disappears from its body. " Never expected an Ice Punch to come from a Pokémon like this, but okay I guess. Spinarak, take a break," he says as he recalls Spinarak to its ball. 

         " Teddiursa, let's go," Mitch hollers as he tosses another Poké Ball into the air. " Ursaaa," it growls as it appears in front of Wooper. " Attack with Slash," Mitch commands as the claws on Teddiursa's right paw glow white and extend a few inches. " Saaaaaaaaaaaaa," it screams as it runs towards Wooper and prepares to slice it across the face. " Peeeeeeeer," it mumbles as it uses Ice Punch at the last second, slamming it against Teddiursa's Slash. " Urrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr,' " Woooooooo," they both say simultaneously as they grit their teeth and try to overcome the other's attack. Eventually, Wooper's Ice Punch prevails as it pushes through Teddiursa's Slash and punches it in the chest, sending it flying. " Ursaaaaaaaaaaaaa," it screams as it flies through the air and lands on its back with a loud thud. " Teddiursa, are you o," Mitch's sentence is interrupted by Teddiursa jumping back to its feet and letting out a loud roar, " Urrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrsaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!" Teddiursa's body begins to glow in a blinding white light, forcing everyone to shield their eyes from it.  Eventually the light fades away and an angry Ursaring stands where an angry Teddiursa once stood. " Ursaaaaaaaaaaariiiiiiiing," it roars as Mitch begins to use the Pokédex on it.

         " Ursaring, the Hibernator Pokémon, a Normal-type, the evolved form of Teddiursa, in the forests inhabited by Ursaring, it is said that there are many streams and towering trees where they gather food. This Pokémon walks through its forest gathering food every day." " Ursaaaaaaaaaaa," it roars as its right arm and paw glow white before its paw shapeshifts into the end of a hammer. " Another one of my Pokémon learning Hammer Arm after evolving? Sweet! Hit it with all you got Ursaring," Mitch gleefully exclaims as Ursaring runs forward and slams the Hammer Arm over Wooper's head. " Wooooooooooooooooooooooooo," Wooper cries before falling over on its back. " Peerrr," it mumbles as spirals form in its eyes. " Alright, let's do this! Poké Ball, go," Mitch yells as he takes an empty Poké Ball out of his back and throws it at the unconscious Wooper.

       The Pokémon Ball hits Wooper on the bottom of its left foot and sucks it inside. The ball only shakes for about 3 and a half seconds before the capture noise goes off.  Mitch quick runs up to the ball and uses the P.C. button on his Pokédex to send his new Wooper to Professor Oak's lab. He turns around to find Ursaring staring at him with an angry look on its feet. " What," he says in a confused tone before Ursaring points at his backpack. " I don't understan," Mitch's sentence is interrupted by a loud growl coming from Ursaring's stomach. " Wait a minute! Has your aggressive behavior today just been from you being hangry," he yells as Ursaring nods and Quilava sweat drops.
