The Cianwood City Gym Battle

    " Guess I should've expected a Fighting-type gym to look like this," Mitch says as he and Typhlosion stand in front of a wooden building that looks like a dojo. They walk inside and go across a small bridge with a man-made creek underneath it. The bridge ends at the start of a battlefield and on the other side of the battlefield sits a chubby, shirtless, shoe-less man with brown hair and a brown mustache. He is meditating whilst sitting beneath a small waterfall that the man-made creek flows into. As if sensing Mitch's presence, the man opens his eyes, smiles, and steps out from underneath the waterfall.  " My name's Chuck! I'm the Cianwood City Gym Leader and judging by your appearance and the fact that you have a Typhlosion, I'll assume that you're Mitch Harper," Chuck yells whilst repeatedly slamming his fists together. " Yeah, that's me! I guess Jasmine told you about me," he says as Chuck nods. " Yeah, and from the sounds of it you gave her one heck of a battle! I look forward to this 5 on 5 battle that we're about to have," he says as he stomps the ground and takes out a Poké Ball from his left pocket.

   " 5 on 5? This might be a long battle, but I'm definitely up for it! Heracross, I choose you," Mitch says as he tosses a Poké Ball into the battlefield. " Cross, Cross, Hera, Heracross, Cross," it shouts as it lands on the battlefield and flexes its muscles. " I like the enthusiasm from both you and your Heracross! Let's do this, Machoke," Chuck says with a grin whilst tossing his Poké Ball into the battlefield. " Choke, Ma, Ma, Machoke," it cries as it lands on the battlefield in a meditation pose before jumping to its feet and getting into a battle stance. " Heracross, use Brick Break," Mitch orders as Heracross twists its glowing white right arm into an odd angle and flies towards Machoke. " Catch it, use Seismic Toss, and then follow it up with a Vital Throw," Chuck mumbles as Machoke catches the Brick Break and squeezes it in order to stop the attack. " Chooooke," it shouts as it grabs Heracross in its arms , jumps into the air, spins around for about a minute, and then tosses Heracross into the ground. " Crossssssss," it shouts as it lands with a loud thud, but the assault doesn't end there as Machoke lands on the ground next to Heracross, grabs it by the horn, and tosses it over its shoulder. 

    " Herrraaaaaa," Heracross grunts as it lands face first on the ground and tries to get back on its feet. " Fire Punch," Chuck says as Machoke's right fist becomes engulfed in fire. " Choooooke," it shouts as it prepares to punch Heracross in the back. " Heracross, Endure and then attack with Aerial Ace," Mitch orders as Heracross braces itself against the ground and its body briefly flashes white. " Herraaa," it groans as Machoke punches it in the back. " Quick, use an Endure of your own and then another Fire Punch" Chuck screams as Heracross flies into the air and begins to move towards Machoke at a high speed with white streaks of energy surrounding it. " Chokke," it mumbles as it braces itself against the ground and its body flashes white. " Heraaaa," Heracross groans in frustration as its Aerial Ace slams into Machoke and does little damage. " Maaaaa," it shouts as it quickly engulfs its fist in fire and punches Heracross in the face with it. " Heraaaaaaaaaaaaa," it exclaims as it is knocked backwards by the attack. It lands on the ground next to the creek with a loud thud and spirals appear in its eyes.  " Talk about power," a bewildered Mitch say as he recalls Heracross to its Poké Ball. " What do you expect from a Fighting-type gym," Chuck replies whilst chuckling. 

    " Well, guess I'll have to fight power with power! Typhlosion, get in there" Mitch yells as Typhlosion ignites its neck flame and quickly walks into the battlefield. " Tyyyyyyyy," it shouts as it gets into a battle stance. "Attack with Flamethrower," he commands as Typhlosion shoots a medium sized stream of fire from its mouth. " Fight through the pain and then use Vital Throw," Chuck yells whilst Machoke allows itself to be hit by the Flamethrower. " Maaaaaaaaaaaa," it cries as the flames move over its body. Eventually, the attack stops, allowing Machoke to quickly run forward, grab Typhlosion in its arms, and toss it over its shoulder. " Sioonn," it groans as it lands head first on the battlefield. " Now use Seismic Toss," Chuck says as Machoke prepares to scoop Typhlosion back into its arms. " Use Quick Attack to get out of the way and follow it up with a Lava Plume," Mitch exclaims as Typhlosion, with a white energy streak trailing behind it, runs far away from Machoke, preventing it from using Seismic Toss. " Looooooosioooooon," it shouts as its front legs glow crimson red and it slams them on the ground, causing a geyser of fire to erupt from underneath Machoke.
