Six months have passed since the crowning of Empress Elizabeth Catra D'riluth.
She sat poised and elegant upon her throne as Minthe, her handmaiden, approached her and curtseyed.
‘Your grace, Lord Hordak has approved your request.’ She says.
‘Well done, Minthe, you are excused.’
The magicat scurried from the throne room.
Catra sighed, and slid off of the throne, and approached the woven tapestry on the right wall.
It had everyone who had ever been in control of the empire woven on, dating back to the time of the Nova war.
Her fingers ghosted over the image of C'yra, and then herself.
It was odd being the Empress, but this was her destiny.
‘My lady?’
‘Yes, Fajr?’
‘What is it you're scheming?’
Catra turns to him momentarily. ‘It does not matter. Has Princess Glimmer and her companions received my letter?’
‘Yes. They have scheduled a visit to Azuraigh in twelve days time.’ The blacksmith explained suspiciously.
‘Good. You may take your leave.’
The next moment, his presence was but a memory.
Catra sighs again, and escots herself back to her private chambers, passing the orchestra band in the process.
They were practising for an upcoming revel, which Catra bore no interest in.
She appeared to be focused on her work, but her ulterior motive was saving C'yra and avenging Amato.
Unfortunately, she hadn't yet had a chance.
But now, she was in the process of sorting an alliance with the Horde and the rebellion as Puca grew stronger.
Hordak had admitted to making a fatal mistake too, by senting a flare to an intergalactic army of his bloodline, led by a cyborg who had as Aeris called it, gone “delulu” and believed he was god.
Ugh. Self worship.
Catra pulled up her chemise from under her bodice and struts to the infirmary.
When she arrived, she stared down at Amatos lifeless form.
Slowly, she sank into the chair beside him, and rubbed her forehead against his hand.
‘I never even told you I loved you, did I?’ She whispered quietly, her breath hitched.
‘But I'm getting stronger. I'm the Empress now, I think I'm doing good….We've temporarily allied with the Horde and the princesses….due to a common enemy who happens to be stronger…’
She continued on with a long list of things that had happened since that fatal battle that ended with Amato in this situation.
‘….I'm sorry I wasn't there to stop what happened…’
‘What did I use to say about blaming yourself?’
Her head shot up when she heard his voice.
She swallowed, not yet believing what she was seeing.
Amato smiled at her and hugged her quickly.
For a moment, it was just that hug, her tears and sobs, apologies, and when they finally pulled apart, healers swarmed him.
Catra slipped out of the crowd and stood by the floor to ceiling window in her thoughts.
But a broad smile plastered her face as hope washed over her.
She couldn't wait to tell Aeris, Mav and Lyric.
A/N; Here you go :)
I know it's rather short, but in a few chapters time it starts getting a lot longer.
I am probably going to do the faceclaim and song thing I did last season here too, so that will probably be out later today!Love/ Chipped_Melog♡
