Adora landed in the gardens of Liliths palace around evening.

She could see figures clothed in white moving around in the foyer. But her eyes were drawn to the young woman leaning in the doorway, dressed in a loose white wrap dress that was a little too transparent.

'Hey Adora' She said with a smile, rushing forward to embrace her lover in a tight hug.

Adora spun her around in a flurry of mesh and gold and brown curls.

'I missed you so fucking much.' The golden haired girl whispered into Catras hair.

'The feelings mutual, my love.'

The girls laugh and cry within their embrace.

They eventually pull away partially.

'I'm so glad you're safe.' Catra whispered, breath shaky.

Adoras hands intertwined with hers.

'Me too, Sunshine.'

Catra didn't even offer the nickname a snarky comment.

She cupped Adoras face, smiling through tears.

'There are so many things I want to say right now.' She choked out

touching their foreheads together.

'I know, Catra, I know.'

Before, they never would've shown each other this kind of weakness, but it didn't matter now.

They had been through too much to care.

They wept into each others arms, completely ignoring the world around them.

Soon, orange bleeded into the current rosy pink of the sky.

The sun was beginning to set.

Adora held Catra by the waist, and they stood on the plateau, overlooking the golden hues breaking through the skies

'How many years will the stories of our lives be told? Perhaps they will not be spoken of at all. Maybe humanity will attempt to erase it from history.'

'They can't. It's been written by the hands of the gods, scripted onto the leather history books spread around the twelve kingdoms.'

'Poetry talk, eh?'

Catra laughed softly,

They sighed in unison.

'Catra....How long have we been going out?'

Adoras question was innocent, yet everything about it made Catra feel like it was a build up to something huge.

'Ten months?'

Catra is unsure.

'And I have loved you since we met. Therefore.....' Adora took a deep breath as she lowered down to her knees. 'Catra Veronica D'riluth. Catra Applesauce Meow Meow. Whichever......If soulmates really exist, I already know you're mine. All those love songs I rolled my eyes about at first, were always about you. Everyone has an addiction....mine is your smile and your laughter and everything about you...God I love you so fucking much, and for that reason, Will you marry me?'

Catra stared at the beautifully crafted locket in Adoras palm. Then at her face, glistening in the sunset light.

'There would never be a time I wouldn't say yes. I love you more then words can tell, Yes I'll be your god damn wife.'

Adora gasps out a small breathy laugh.

Then, she shoots to her feet, pulls Catra in close and spins her around.

Catras dress swished and twirled in the wind, tangling and untangling with her legs.

A small snake, Morrigan in his smallest edition, twisted happily around her arm.

Melog circled the couple joyfully, glad to be free to roam.

Adora sets Catra down, still grinning.

Catra wraps her arms around the blondes neck, pulling her down into a kiss.

Adora hugs her waist tightly, lost within the warm essence of Catras existence.

Her hands run through soft, chestnut curls. Lips pressed to hers, everything is beautiful about this moment in her eyes.

She never wants this moment to end.

All of a sudden, Catra floats a few inches into the air. Not far enough for her to be above Adora, but high enough for it to be relatively noticeable.

She glowed in a vermilion light.

Rivaling the sun with her power, a little flame with legs leaping around her.

Adora begins to glow too, the magic of She-ra shining through.

They rise above the plateau.

But they don't care, nor do they fret.

The magic begins to flow over the edge of the plateau, sending a wave like illusion over the fields below.

It begins to ascend toward the sun, circling it, and reflecting out upon the planet.

And from its light, down below and out of sight, within the underground caverns and tunnels, formed a blooming camelia flower, made of pure magic.

On the mountain plateau, the newly engaged couple finally pull away from the kiss, breathless and flushed.

They do not speak yet.

Simply gazing into each other eyes, wondering how they were so lucky.

They lower down so that they are now standing on the rock of the plateau, and their glows slowly fade into the past.

The take each others hands carefully, as if afraid to break the tranquility of the moment.

Then, they turn back to the crystal like palace belonging to Lilith.

Together, they approach the foyers doors, slightly ajar.

Adora steps inside first, and Catra ushers her to go on.

Reluctantly, she agrees.

Now Catra stands alone, as she always had.

Except this time she's bathed in life, she has a home, family and magic pulses beneath her feet.

She, in the end, will always return home.

But tonight, it is dark, Adora is inside. and she is free.

Catra takes a deep breath, and takes a big step forward, into the foyer.

She looks once more out at the plateau, then closes the door. The room is dark, save for the moonlight shining down on the blood trickling across her arm. Before everything stops.
