Naeva was shaken to her core.

That was the first thing the alliance noticed when they entered the room.

She was sitting where Adora would usually sit, but Adora had skipped out on the meeting to do her own thing for once.

'What happened? It feels urgent' Perfuma exclaimed, looking between Naeva and Angella.

Glimmer was kicking her feet like a child who go caught doing something they shouldn't have.

'Lady Naeva? May I...?' Angella trailed off.

'Let loose' Naeva replied quietly.

'Alright....Last night Naeva here, noticed that something was wrong. A light in her house was on when it shouldn't have been. Especially as the light was coming from Anu's bedroom.'

'We don't even know Anu? 'Mermista drawled.

'He died. During the battle with Pucas forces. He was fourteen.' Naeva said quietly, voice wavering.

Mermistas face contorted into something equivalent to guilt.

'Err...okay...And when Naeva went back, all of the house lights were on, and her father was gone. He had left a note saying that he was going out for a while.'

Frosta frowned. 'I don't see the problem?'

Angella shuddered.

'That's the thing. Her father has dementia. He wrote her name. He has never, and doesn't remember her name.'

----------

Catra flicked through the pages once more.

Melog lay with their head on her lap.

She read about the reigns of her ancestors, and eventually, she came across what she had been looking for.

A riddle. A prophecy. Seven lines for the seven words of promise to the empire she herself had spoken to Gata on the night of her coronation.

Catras mismatched eyes trailed down the scripture, her tail and Melogs intertwining in anticipation.

'Read it out loud.' They insisted.

'Okay, okay!'  She rolled her eyes.

'The gods have bestowed upon me.
The full Moons and darkest fairytale,
When I was born they painted my body,
A map of constellations,
The ichor shimmering in my veins,
Wandering around aimlessly,
Bringing the century in its bronze.'

Melog leaned toward the scripture.

'Its a letter from Empress Circe D'riluth herself. She was quite famous for her poetry.' Catra explained.

'Then why did you need it?'

'Because she wrote about her mana in her poetry. I'm trying to figure..... something out...'

'Tell me Čalyria. I'm a Bebog. I don't judge.'

'Bebog?!?"

'Its my surname.'

'So....your name is Melog Bebog?'

'Yes.'

'Okay....Anyways, I'm Namir.'

'Cool. So what are you trying to figure out?'

'I share the same power as Circe. And C'yra, my mum, has been taken by Puca, and I'm learning how to wield my power to save her.'

'That's rough, buddy'

'Shut it, Melog.'

'Never in my I-forgot-how-many years of life have I ever been so offended!'

'If that's offensive, then you won't survive a day on Etheria, now come on'

Melog grumbled and followed her.

'Atleast tell me where we're going'

'To the Lunarium'

'Why?'

'Because every Xaliaon slash Purrsian Lunarium has astrology charts. We can find out the date of the next full moon. And maybe find more interesting information'

'Cool. Now how do we get there?'

'Lucky for us, Circe drew out a map of the palace. Speaking of which, there's a whole stack of maps for different places. Including a place called...the celestial gardens. Eh. I'll find that place later. Now, to the Lunarium!' She declared.

Melog followed her out of the room, down a hallway, and up a long winding staircase.

The duo entered the Lunarium hastily.

Catra immediately set to work reading the scripts across the circular walls.

While Melog watched from the door.

'Everything okay?' She asks after a moment.

'I don't know. But something feels off.'

Catra frowned. 'I'll check my trackerpad

Her heart stops when she does.

Someone is there.

Someone, is right behind her.

She spins around, clawing the figure in the shoulder, and runs to Melog.

She slips onto their back, and the two race out of the Lunarium and down the steps.

They bolt through the palace, fear rising quickly.

'What do we do?!?' Melog sqeaked loudly.

'I'm not sure, let's just get to the ship as quickly as possible!' Catra screamed in response as Melog lept over a ton of rubble.

The duo arrive at a balcony missing its railing, the person has caught up.

In a matter of seconds, a battle has ensued.

Catra transformed into Namir, and is slashing and ducking her way through the battle.

Melog helps wherever they can, by shoving and clawing at the assailant, and tying to protect Catra.

But then something horrible happens.

The attacker lunges at Catra, Melog attacks, they blast her right off of the balcony with magic of some kind, and turn to Melog.

They jump after Catra, leaving the attacker alone on the balcony.
