"So yeah it's been a really good two years all things considered, just another two to go and then we graduate."

Lennox was drowning out Skye's voice as she spoke about her college experience. She was more interested in the frequent communication she'd seen between her father and Jay in the week she'd been at home. After finishing her sentence and realising that Lennox's attention was elsewhere, she tried to get her to focus.

"Lennox?"

But Lennox's eyes were narrowly fixed on her dad across the room on a phone call.

"My dad and Jay seem close." She didn't turn her head to indicate whether she was talking to Skye or just thinking out loud, so Skye replied anyway.

"Yeah, they've really developed a good friendship these past couple years."

"Why?"

"Because you were gone, and in the weeks before you went missing you and Jay were inseparable. I don't know, I guess your dad was just glad that Jay had come back into our lives and wanted to keep him around after you went missing. It was hard for both of them, so they supported each other, it was nice."

"Hm. It's a little weird isn't it?"

"Not really. They both lost someone they cared about, we supported each other. But they spend a lot of time together at the hospital when Jay gets called in for a police liaison, and obviously Will works with your dad almost everyday. Why do you ask?"

"Because they've spoken everyday since I got back. I just wanted to know why."

From her definitive tone, Lennox had gotten the answer she was looking for. Skye however didn't know what to say - something that was happening a little more often now that Lennox was around again. Something about her was...strange, but she couldn't quite put her finger on what it was that had changed. In an attempt to keep any kind of conversation going she switched the topic.

"So where's Kaila?"
