"Okay, that should hold him until morning."

Lennox watched Will finish hanging the IV line from a coat hanger attached the handrail, then going to stand with her after he'd double checked that everything was in place.

"I get off at eight, so I'll come by to check on him, maybe bring some more supplies, just let me know if you need anything else."

"Thanks. I know you probably had better things to do on your lunch break."

"Yeah not really, I was just glad to get out of the hospital for a while. Honestly I thought he was passed this. I mean after what happened last time,"

"Wait, last time? What do you mean?" Lennox's frown suggested, to Will's regret, that she had no idea what he was talking about.

He hadn't considered that even though she might've had a talent for medicine, she'd been without a conscience for quite some time, meaning she probably hadn't noticed any of the signs before now. He remained quiet.

"Will what are you talking about? You know about this?" Her eyes flickered between the two men as Will stumbled over his words.

"Well...you know,"

"Will!"

"Yes! Alright? Yes, I knew about his addiction." He sighed in defeat, part of him relieved to have it finally out in the open as Lennox stared at him.

Addiction? Of all the things her father would involve himself in, addiction had never been one of them, not by a long shot.

"Addiction? No way, not possible."

"Lennox,"

"No Will he wouldn't. His job, his reputation at the hospital he wouldn't risk everything like this."

"Okay well maybe you're only just noticing but he hasn't exactly been stable since you went missing." He let out a laugh as if to imply that whatever her father had been doing in her absence was Lennox's fault.

"You're blaming me for this?" She asked, her voice edging on a subtle threat as Will shifted on his feet and sighed.

"No, I'm sorry, of course not. But he thought you were dead Lennox, we all did, and we all suffered in our own way. You were all he had left, one day you were there and the next? You were missing for two years, he fell into a depression. What would you do if you lost what was left of your family?"
