"So most of the drug has come out of her system, she was dosed with GHB, but with the IV in we're just waiting for the last of the effects to wear off. She's gonna be okay."

Mr and Mrs Madison sighed with relief as Dr Rosewood glanced passed them at Lennox. She was stood by the wall behind them, listening to the update on Skye. Jay was opposite her, relieved to hear that Skye would be fine, but dreading the fact that as soon as he was able, he needed to arrest Lennox. Bentley's parents were pressing charges for aggravated assault, they didn't care that he'd raped a girl; all they cared about was that somebody had hurt their golden boy. But Jay would rather be the one to take her in than let anybody else do it, even if there was a conflict of interest. Once Lennox had heard everything she wanted to hear she walked away, heading into the lounge room with Jay following closely behind her. It was so early that the lounge was empty, so they had the chance to talk before he had to take her in.

"So, you want me to go easy? Or put up a fight? Your choice." She asked, leaning against the wall by the door in case he said the latter.

He stood across the room, a guilty expression on his face. "You know I wouldn't do this if it weren't for Bentley's parents."

"I get it. It's fine Jay."

A silence fell over the room as Jay struggled to figure out what to say.

"How've you been?" He asked first.

"Fine. You?"

"Yeah, pretty good. Sorority huh?"

"Not my idea." Lennox let out a defensive sigh as Jay smiled to himself.

More than anyone, he knew that she'd been talked into it against her will by Skye. Lennox saw the slight grin on his face and looked him up and down. But instead of a snide remark coming out of her mouth, her mind had other ideas.

"Thanks for coming when I called."

Jay looked up, surprised at her thanks.

"Always. I'm just glad you're okay." He kept his eyes on her as a sudden sensation made Lennox feel tingly.

She had the same tingly sensation at the party, but she still couldn't figure out what it was. Annoying was what it was. She cleared her throat.

"We should go."
