"Lennox no, you cannot be considering this,"
"Jay,"
"No you can't do this!"
"Jay stop!" Lennox went to his side as he stood up inside the cage.
"Don't do this."
"I can't let them kill you, please try and understand-"
"No I don't understand, if you give yourself up Ekaterina will consume you and keep your body as a vessel, you can't let her take over."
"I can fight her. Okay? I can try. Jay I tried for years to keep you away from this, I haven't been through everything I've been through for you to die."
"Len,"
"No, if I survive this, I'm gonna need someone to come home too!" Jay went quiet as Lennox smiled. "Right? I don't know how strong I really am, I could be strong enough to fight her."
"What if you're not?"
"Oh come on, don't doubt me now."
"Lennox please, don't do this. I'm begging you."
"Jay,"
"I love you."
"Don't."
"I love you, I'm not ready to lose you."
"I'm not ready to lose you either! That's why I have to do this."
"No."
"I love you too. And hey if it doesn't work out, we've always got the next life, right?"
She wiped the tear off her cheek as Jay closed his eyes, shaking his head. He and Lennox both knew that if she didn't survive, without having a child to carry on Ekaterina's bloodline, that it would end with her. But whether he wanted it or not, Lennox knew what she had to do, and promptly turned to face her mother.
"I'll do it. I'll be the vessel for Ekaterina. But you have to promise me that Jay goes free."
Evelyn smiled. "Wonderful. You're making the right choice Lennox."
She turned to walk away, effortlessly disappearing into the walls before Lennox turned back to Jay.
"You can't go through with it. You can't." He insisted.
"Whatever happens, just promise me that you'll take care of my dad, and Skye and Caleb."
"Stop."
"No I need to know that you'll do that for me. Please."
Jay just sighed with exhaustion. "Yes. I promise, you know I will."
"Good. And you have to make sure that nobody ever finds this place."
"Lennox," He shook his head as she took his hands.
"Jay I'm scared. Okay?" She tried her best to look him in the eyes, even though it was difficult to see him through the tears that were spilling over onto her cheeks. "I don't want to die. I never wanted this, all I ever wanted was you. I just want you to be safe, if this is how I do that then I have to do it, you would do it for me."
He nodded as he blurred the tear streaks into her skin. "Promise me you'll fight. Whatever she does, no matter how strong she is, you have to promise me you'll try and fight back."
"I will, I promise."
