"But the legend doesn't come true if I don't make it passed nineteen." Lennox said slowly. 

Evelyn nodded. "Yes. Which is why your ability to feel, and love, had to be taken away." 

"At sixteen?" 

"Honey, you were already falling for Jay, if we had any chance at restoring our bloodline we had to make sure that her life would not be repeated, you are the only one who can undo what she did," 

"What if I don't want to?" 

"Then you would've died. You turn nineteen in less than a month. Your death had to be prevented." 

"So you kill off a part of my brain? Play with me like I'm some toy? Take away my friends? Use one of them as your little ragdoll?" Lennox gestured to her mother before shaking her head. "I didn't ask for this. I don't know what was meant to happen to me, but that's not your choice to make, it's not up to you to force me into a destiny I don't understand or want any part of, that's not fair." 

"You will understand. I promise you," 

"No, mom I don't want to! I don't want to be some puppet in a witch's game, I never asked for any of this." 

"But sweetie it's your duty, this is what you were born to do-" 

"This is not what I want!!" 

Lennox's voice echoed against the walls as threw her hand across her in anger, gasping at the bolt of white flames that seemed to originate from her hand. She stepped back, keeping her distance as her mother smiled. 

"She's inside of you. I can feel her spirit intertwined with your magic." 

"How the hell did I do that?" Lennox asked, her breathing heavy with panic and fear as the flames began to die down. 

"Like I told you, you're special. You're destined for things even I don't understand." 

"Please stop. You're looking at me like I'm some...prize, I don't know how to do this," 

"Don't be scared, Lennox, look at me." Evelyn gently took Lennox's shaking hands in her own. "You are the reincarnation of the most powerful woman in history, you are still connected to this place strongly enough to still carry that same energy that was created all those years ago. It never weakened while it was waiting for you to be born, it just got stronger as you got older, and now it's up to you to free Ekaterina and restore her power."
