Lennox looked at her hands in her lap, careful not to give Skye too much eye contact as she knew it would only take minutes for her to decipher what had really brought on her feelings.

"You're kidding. Lennox that's great! Have you talked to the doctor at the hospital yet?"

"No, not yet."

"Well are you going to?"

"Maybe. But I don't want to jump to any conclusions about anything."

"Yeah but this is amazing progress right? What happened yesterday that brought them on so quickly? I thought you said you hadn't seen your mom."

"I haven't."

"So then what happened? Because you seemed pretty normal this morning too, come to think of it." Skye continued frowning as Lennox stayed quiet, but as usual, she could always count on Skye's deductive skills. "Wait a minute, Jay dropped you off this morning, didn't he?"

At the mention of Jay's name Lennox's posture straightened as she finally made eye contact with Skye. "What? Uh...yes, yeah, he did."

"You weren't here last night."

"No, I was with my father for most of yesterday."

"Yes but then you went to meet Jay, I remember because you said you had to cancel on him, because of your dad."

"Yeah."

"So you didn't go home last night, after you left Jay. Because you didn't leave Jay, that's why he dropped you off this morning because you stayed with him."

"No I- he came to tell me about Kaila."

"But you said he got the call this morning whilst you were with him."

Lennox stuttered as she realised that Skye was right. "Right. That- that is...what I said."

She quietly cleared her throat as Skye considered every possible explanation for why Lennox was with Jay all night, and then all of a sudden she gasped and stared at her. Lennox returned her stare.

"What?"

"You...oh my God, sweetie." She let out a laugh, looking around and then moving closer to Lennox so she could speak quietly. "You stayed with him last night, you and Jay...Lennox what happened last night?"

"Nothing."

"You're lying."

"No I'm not,"

"Oh my God, you're lying, this is the first time I've been able to tell you were lying since you came back, Lennox it's him, isn't it? Your feelings, tell me the truth what happened last night?"

"Nothing! I-" Lennox cut herself off as her heart began to race, and after trying to convincingly portray the body language of an open book, she wanted nothing more than to run away so that she didn't have to tell Skye the truth.

But as one of her closest friends, Skye didn't need Lennox to tell her the truth. "Oh my God. It happened, didn't it? It finally happened and it fixed you."

She started smiling as Lennox shook her head. "I don't know how it happened,"

"Oh yes!" She jumped across the bench to hug Lennox before pulling back. "Okay tell me everything, I want to hear every detail."

"No, you really don't."

"Of course I do! Honey this was your first time, you have to tell me, please. Unless...oh, was he bad? Were you bad?"

"What? No, you're confusing me."

"I'm sorry, I'm just so excited for you. What's wrong? Why do you look so scared?"

"Because it happened Skye. And I turn nineteen next week."

"So?" Skye went back to frowning, but again, it only took her a few seconds to remember the story Lennox had relayed to her about Ekaterina Quinn and her fate.

Her face quickly changed from an expression of confusion to pure fear. "Oh God. The legend," She went quiet, her eyes beginning to well rom the sudden overwhelming emotions filling her body. "Oh no, Len...what does that mean? What happens now?"

"I don't know. But I don't know what to do."

It had been a long time since Lennox felt her eyes tear up the same way Skye's had, but as she resisted to urge to cry Skye pulled her into a tight hug.

"We'll figure it out okay? We'll fix it."

"How?"

"I don't know. But I can't lose you again. You're gonna be okay, we'll fix it, we'll find a way."
