"So how's everything going? I feel like it's been a while since we really had a chance to do this."

"Yeah, well you know how it is when you have a big case, we've had a few come up lately, so it's been all hands on deck and it doesn't look like it's easing up anytime soon."

"I'm sorry to hear that. What kind of cases?"

"We had a kidnapping last week, we managed to save the kid but the investigation led to the discovery of a huge child trafficking ring that's been in operation for at least a decade, at least that's what we're thinking."

Dr Rosewood stared in shock for a few seconds before shaking his head. "My God. I truly admire you Jay, I do. I can't imagine working on things like that, the things you must see...it makes being a doctor seem like a cake walk."

"No, are you kidding? You save people's lives everyday, I only do it once a week or so." Jay shrugged as Dr Rosewood chuckled to himself.

"Regardless. It's nice to see you making a difference."

"Thanks. Doesn't feel like a big enough difference sometimes you know?"

"I know what you mean. Good days and bad days."

"Yeah. So how was the move today?"

"You know it went well. A lot less emotional than I expected, on my part of course."

"Yeah but she's your daughter, you have every right to be emotional for things like this."

"No I know. I think it helped that she wasn't living at home before she went missing, we'd already done this process once before and before it definitely wasn't pretty. But no it went well, she's moved into her dorm, Kaila's in too, we met a few of their floormates and they seem like nice girls, so I'm very excited for them, it's a big chapter for Lennox."

"She and Kaila are staying in a room together?"

"They are, but it's a big enough room for the both of them, and they're extremely close, closer than before, so I have no doubt they'll get on with living together just fine."

And there it was - Jay's opening to ask some questions about Kaila.
