Jay stepped forward out of the shadows.

"You seriously don't feel anything? You don't feel bad about potentially ruining a kid's life? Bentley was up to go pro."

He watched her face change. It resembled that of someone who was devastated about what they'd done; her eyes even welled. But after just a few seconds of indulging him, Lennox's face went blank again as she shook her head.

"No. I don't. Not to mention he just raped one of my friends."

In the blink of an eye she was faking a sob.

"He- he deserved it Detective Jason I swear, I just wanted to hurt him!" She said hysterically, then becoming a blank slate and shaking her head.

"What do you want me to do, lie? It was fun."

She sat back in the chair, Jay watching her intensely for a few short seconds before heading for the door.

"Jay, you alright man?"

"He'll be fine. Let him have his tantrum."

Lennox watched Jay stop by the door, tensing and clenching his fist on the handle as she waited for him to burst. But he didn't. He turned back to her, shaking his head.

"I don't know what happened to you two years ago. But it must've been bad if it made you this heartless. You're not her. I don't know who you are but you're not Lennox. Not anymore."

He walked out of the room, her cocky smirk becoming a scowl of disappointment when she didn't get the rise out of him that she wanted. She had no desire to tell him what had happened two years ago, but as he kept bringing it up she debated whether she should, even if it was just to stop his whining.

Lennox was kept until the early hours of the morning. But when the unexpected call came into the precinct from Bentley's parents to say that they were dropping the charges against Lennox, she was free to go. Against their better judgements, Jay and Rawson released her, watching as she walked out towards Kaila, who was waiting by her car just in front of the doors to the station. In that moment, seeing the smirk she'd gave them before leaving, Jay had never been more sure that Kaila wasn't all she was claiming to be.
