"What happened? He finally cry like a baby?" Kaila smiled. 

"Pretty much, yeah." Jay nodded. 

None of the girls were expecting him to say yes, so they all looked at him in shock. 

"Wait, really?" 

"Yeah. He gave it up, said it was supposed to be a joke but he got a little too drunk and took it too far. We got a full statement this morning, I would've come sooner but we were dealing with the paperwork. I just thought you'd want to know, and I wanted you to hear it from me." 

As he spoke he kept his eyes on Lennox, who held eye contact with him as Skye let out a relieved laugh. 

"Thank God. I don't know if I could've stayed on campus if it'd gone the other way." 

"I know, but there's something else you should know. Bentley didn't drug you." 

"He...he didn't?" 

"If it wasn't Bentley then who was it?" Lennox frowned. 

As if right on cue, Rawson appeared from the building next to them, with Brittany struggling against the cuffs. 

"This is- you can't do this! My daddy is gonna have your ass for this do you hear me?! You can't arrest me!" 

The girls turned around to where all the noise was coming from, and Jay watched as Kaila and Skye's jaws dropped. 

"No way." 

"Are you serious?" 

"You have to let me go if you want to keep your career!" Brittany screeched. 

"And you should keep your mouth shut before I add threatening a police officer to your charges." Rawson said cockily. 

She gave one more thrust of her arm to try and resist the cuffs, then seeing Lennox by the table and slowing down. All of a sudden she lunged, but was held back by Rawson. 

"You!! You skank this is all your fault!! You'll be sorry do you hear me?! I'm not gonna let you get away with this you don't get to take my place!!" 

"Alright keep walking!" Rawson directed her to the car as Lennox cocked an eyebrow. 

"Was she talking to me?"

"Relax, I don't think she'll have the chance anytime soon." Jay said with a laugh. 

When he looked back at Lennox he saw the smile of amusement on her face from his comment. Just like that, he felt like he was looking at the real Lennox; a glimpse of how she used to be.
