Chapter 38: Spirit Korra

Y/N's P.O.V

So alot has happened while I was off fighting Tahn.

Unalaq fused with Vaatu and they became the Dark Avatar.

Korra fought them the best she could, but they managed to take Raava from Korra and destroy her.

The Dark Avatar grew giant and left the Spirit World, but we don't know where he went.

Dad, Bumi and Kya have just come back.

Tenzin: Korra, were you able to stop Unalaq and Vaatu?

Korra: No, they fused. Vaatu ripped Raava right out of me and destroyed her. Vaatu won.

Bolin: No. I am too young to live through ten thousand years of darkness. Korra, can't you talk to one of your past lives or something?

Korra: When Vaatu destroyed Raava, he destroyed my connection to the past Avatar's too.

Y/N: So, Aang and the other's are gone?

Korra: Yes, all of them are.

Tenzin: If that's true, then...

Korra: The cycle is over. I'm the last Avatar. I'm so sorry, Tenzin.

She starts crying.

I try to comfort her the best I can.

Dad comes over.

Tenzin: The past Avatar's may not be able to help you anymore, but perhaps I can.

Korra: No-one can help me now.

Tenzin: I know I haven't been the best mentor to you. That goes for both you, actually. I realise now it was because I had alot of spiritual growth to do myself. There may still be a way for you to stop Vaatu.

Korra: How?

He kneels down.

Tenzin: Let go of your attachment to who you think you are, and connect

Korra: Haven't you heard anything I said. Raava is gone. I'm not connected to a spirit anymore.

Tenzin: I'm not talking about Raava. Raava is not who you are. Come with me. I need to show you something. Y/N, you come too.

Y/N: Okay.

Korra and I follow dad towards the tree that was Vaatu's prison.

Korra: Why are you showing us Vaatu's prison?

Tenzin: Because this tree had a history long before it held Vaatu. This is the Tree of Time.

Y/N: The Tree of Time? I thought the Tree of Time was just a legend.

Tenzin: No. It is indeed real. The legends says that it's binds the Spirit World and the Physical World together.

Y/N: And you think this tree can help Korra?

Tenzin: Yes. I have read that long ago, the ancients would meditate beneath this tree and connect with the great cosmic energy of the universe.

Korra, dad and I go into the tree.

We see vision's play out all around us.

Korra: These are my memories.

I see her memory of our first kiss. That's a good one, at least I hope it is.

Tenzin: The Tree of Time remembers all. Korra, the most powerful thing about you is not the spirit of Raava, but your own inner spirit. You've always been strong, unyielding and fearless.

We see a young man appear infront of us.

Korra: Avatar Wan.

Tenzin: Before he fused with Raava, Wan was just a regular person.

Korra: But he was brave and smart and always wanted to defend the helpless.

Tenzin: That's right. He became a legend because of who he was, not what he was. He wasn't defined by Raava anymore than you are.

We then see a vision of the Dark Avatar attacking Republic City.

Y/N: That's not good.

Korra: Everyone in Republic City is in danger.

Tenzin: You have to help them, Korra.

Korra: How? They're half-way around the world.

Tenzin: Do as the ancients once did. Connect to the cosmic energy of the universe. Don't bend the elements, but the energy within yourself.

Korra: You really think I can do this?

Tenzin: I have no doubt.

Y/N: Korra, we all believe in you. You can do this.

She smiles.

Dad then leaves and I stay with Korra.

Korra sits down and starts meditating.

I kneel down next to her.

A moment later Korra's spirit form emerges from her physical body.

Y/N: Whoa.

Spirit Korra leaves the tree and grows giant size.

I walk to the exit.

Y/N: I'm so gonna need her to show me how to do that.

Spirit Korra leaves the Spirit World.

Y/N: Dad, I'm gonna stay here and keep her physical body safe.

Tenzin: Good idea. The rest of us will stay here and hold off any Dark Spirits.

Just then we see a group of Dark Spirits coming our way.

Mako: They're coming!

I fire lightning at the Dark Spirits and it hits a couple of them.

As we fight off the Dark Spirits Eska and Desna come in to help.

The Dark Spirits push the others back and we're now all in the tree.

Just then a blinding white light appears.

We all see that Korra is back with Raava and Jinora.

Spirit Korra dissolves and she goes back to her physical body.

We all leave the tree.

Raava and Korra go into the air and fuse together.

The spirit beams then disconnect as Korra comes back down.

Korra: It's over.

I run over and hug her.

Y/N: You were amazing. I can't believe you did that.

Korra: Honestly, neither can I. It's over now.

We then pull away.

Y/N: Not yet it's not.

After that we all go to get Tahn.

We see that's he's come to and he's trying

He tries to crawl away.

We all go over to him.

Y/N: Where do you think you're going?

He turns to see us surrounding him.

I point the Space Sword in his face.

He looks around.

Tahn: If it's all the same to you, I'd like to have a drink before going back to prison.

I kneel down infront of him.

Y/N: That's not happening.

I punch him in the face, knocking him out cold.

I then look to Korra.

Y/N: Now, it's over.

She smiles.

So we won and made it through Harmonic Convergence.

Last year we saved Republic City, this year we saved the whole world. I'd say that's an improvement.
