(Three days later)
Y/N's P.O.V
It's been three days since Harmonic Convergence and Korra decided to keep the spirit portals open.
Now spirits and people will be living together.
Right now I'm going to pay a visit to Tahn in jail.
He's being held in the prison on the outskirts of Republic City.
I walk into the room to see him sitting in his cell.
Tahn: Ah, I see the great Air Master Y/N has come to pay me a visit.
Y/N: I have.
Tahn: So, to what do I owe the pleasure, little brother?
Y/N: I came here to tell you something.
Tahn: Is that right?
Y/N: Yeah. For the past few days I've been debating on whether I should tell you or no, but I think you deserve to know.
Tahn: Okay, I'm all ears.
Y/N: When I first went into the Spirit World with Korra and Jinora, I met Avatar Aang.
Tahn: What?
Y/N: He called out to me and I found him. He and I spoke and I learnt more about our creations.
Tahn: Okay, you've peaked my interest. Carry on.
Y/N: Aang told me that when he created me he unintentionally gave me something that he didn't give me.
Tahn: What do you mean?
Y/N: When Aang created me he passed on a piece of Ravva's Spirit to me.
His eyes widen and he stands up.
Tahn: How is that possible?
Y/N: I'm not sure, but now that the past Avatar's are gone, I'll never know how. That's how I was able to go into that new state I unlocked.
Tahn: That explains so much.
Y/N: Aang helped me unlock that ability and he showed me how to do something else.
Tahn: Is that right?
Y/N: Yeah, it is. So, if you ever decide to break out of here, you'll learn what that something else is.
Tahn: You can't stop me, Y/N.
Y/N: I can and I will if I have to.
I sigh.
Y/N: It's ashame it has to be like this. You'd make a great Airbender and I mean a true Airbender.
Tahn: Really?
Y/N: Really. There's good in you, Tahn. I know you don't believe it now, but you'll realise it one day.
Tahn: Sorry, little brother, but playing hero isn't my thing.
I smirk.
Y/N: It's only a matter of time before you realise your true potential. And who knows, with enough time maybe we could become friends. We could become real brother's.
Tahn: And what makes you so sure that I can change?
Y/N: I believe anyone can change, but I can't force you to change. You have to want it.
I sigh.
Y/N: Well, I better go. Just know that if you ever want to talk, I'm here.
I turn and walk out of the cell.
Korra, Mako, Asami and Bolin come over to me.
Y/N: Hey. I'm guessing you guys heard all that?
Asami: We did.
Mako: So, do you really think that he can change?
Y/N: I do. He just needs people who want to help him.
Mako: I gotta say, I've always admired your relentless optimism.
Korra: So have I.
I smile.
Y/N: Thanks. I'm just glad I found it again.
Bolin: Okay, are we gonna talk about Y/N have Avatar power, cause I can't take it anymore! How'd that happen?!
We all laugh.
Y/N: It's one of the things Aang helped me unlock.
Korra: I still can't believe it to be honest.
Y/N: Neither can I.
I look to Mako, Asami and Bolin.
Y/N: I wish you guys could know what that type of power felt like. It was nothing like I can describe.
Korra: He's not wrong.
Asami: I bet.
Bolin: So, can you use the other elements all the time now, you know, when you're in your Spirit State?
Y/N: No. The difference between my Spirit State and Korra's Avatar State is that I can only use the other elements while in the Spirit State. When I'm not, it's just Airbending. But it's wired, my Airbending now feels...
Korra: Stronger?
Y/N: Yeah.
Asami: Maybe unlocking your new abilities and going into the Spirit World gave your Airbending a boost.
Y/N: Maybe.
Mako: So, what is your other new ability?
Y/N: Aang gave me the ability to take away Bending.
Korra: Like Amon?
I nod.
Y/N: Yeah. But I made a promise that I'd never use it unless I had to and that I wouldn't use it on my brother.
Mako: Why's that?
I sigh.
Y/N: I guess Aang believed Tahn could become better too.
After that the other's leave Korra and I alone.
Korra comes over and wraps her arms around my neck.
Korra: Are you sure you're okay? It can't have been easy to lock Tahn up.
Y/N: Yeah, I'm okay. I know that one day he'll make the change.
Korra: I hope you're right.
Y/N: Me too.
She leans up and we kiss.
A moment later we pull away.
Y/N: I love you, Avatar Korra.
Korra: I love you too, Air Master Y/N. Now, let's get out of here.
Y/N: Yeah, let's go home.
We leave the prison and go back to Air Temple Island.
Harmonic Convergence is over and the world has been forever changed.
That's all thanks to Avatar Korra. The woman I love.
(A/N: That's it for LOK Book Two. Next up, is Book Three: Change.)
