Y/N's P.O.V

So, in the past few days some things have happened.

Korra and I both left Tarrlok's Taskforce. That's what Korra needed and I just don't fully trust Tarrlok.

Asami and I have talked yesterday and we decided that we shouldn't date.

We're just not compatible in a romantic way. And there's a couple of other reasons.

Anyway, I'm meeting up with Mako and Bolin.

I walk into the gym and see Mako there.

Mako: Hey, Y/N.

Y/N: Hey, bro. Where's Bo?

Mako: He's taking his time getting ready as usual. Where's Asami? I thought you two would come together.

Y/N: Why's that?

Mako: Well, aren't you two...?

Y/N: Oh, no. No, we're not.

Mako: What happened?

Y/N: Nothing. I mean Asami great and we have fun together, but we just realised we weren't compatible in a romantic way.

Mako: Oh. I'm sorry, man.

Y/N: Don't be. It's all good. Plus, I know you like her and I didn't wanna step on your toes.

Mako: What? No, I don't... what?

I cross my arms.

Mako: Okay, fine. Maybe I do like her.

Y/N: You do. And for what it's worth I think she likes you too.

Mako: Really?

Y/N: Yeah. You should ask her out.

Mako: Are you sure? Cause I...

Y/N: Mako, it's fine, honestly. Don't worry.

Just then Asami shows up.

Asami: Hey, guys.

Y/N: Hey.

Mako: Hi, Asami.

I step closer to Mako.

Y/N: (Whispers) I'll give you two a minute. You got this.

Mako: (Whispers) Thanks, bro.

He and I fist bump.

Y/N: (Whispers) Anytime.

I walk away and go to the exit.

Asami: Hey, Y/N. I just wanna make sure we're okay, you know...

Y/N: Asami, we're fine. It's okay. Come here.

She and I hug.

Asami: Thanks, Y/N.

Y/N: No problem.

I leave the room and let the two of them talk.

It's good Asami and I aren't dating.

Now, I can figure out my feelings for Korra.

Ever since what happened with Amon, I've been having these feelings.

The thought of him hurting her and losing her just hurt too much. It feels like I've had these feelings for Korra for awhile.

I think I love her, but it's complicated. My head is all over the place.

(Three hours later)

Third person perspective

Back on Air Temple Island, Korra, Jinora and Ikki are feeding the lemars.

Jinora looks up at Korra.

Jinora: So, how's it going with Y/N? You two have been spending alot of time together training.

Korra comes down from the ladder.

Ikki: Oh, yeah. Tell us all about the magical romance!

Korra laughs.

Korra: What? Listen to you two. I'm... I'm not interested in your brother or any romantic stuff. He's my best friend.

She clears her throat and looks down.

Korra: Besides, Y/N's all into that prissy, beautiful, elegant rich girl.

Korra looks at the girls.

Korra: But let's just pretend for a second I am interested in Y/N. What would I do?

Jinora: Ooh, I just read a historical saga where the heroine fell in love with the enemy General's son who was supposed to marry the Princess. You should do what she did.

Korra: Tell me.

Jinora: She rode a dragon into battle and burned down the entire country. Then she jumped into a volcano. It was so romantic.

Korra: Uh...

Ikki: No, no, no! The best way to win a boy's heart is to brew a love potion of rainbows and sunsets that makes true lovers sprout wings and fly to a magical castle in the sky. Where they get married and eat clouds with spoons and use starts as ice cubes in their moonlight punch forever and ever and ever.

Ikki goes up into the air and comes back down.

Korra: The volcano is starting to make more sense to me now.

The three hear someone laugh and turn to see Pema.

Korra: Oh hey, Pema! Uh, how long were you standing there?

Pema: Long enough. But trust me, I know what you're going through.

She walks over to them.

Pema: Years ago, I was in the same situation. With Tenzin.

Jinora: Daddy was in love with someone else before you.

Pema: That's right.

Korra: So, what did you do?

Pema: Well, for the longest time I did nothing, I was so shy and scared of rejection. But watching my soul mate spend his life with the wrong woman became too painful. So, I hung my chin out there and confessed my love to Tenzin. And the rest is history.

Korra, Jinora & Ikki: Wow.

Pema: Korra, for what it's worth, I think Y/N feels the same way about you.

Korra smiles.

Korra: You do?

Pema: Yes. He's just not good at picking up on that sort of thing, sometimes. He gets that from Tenzin. Even though their not blood related, they're very similar.

Y/N's P.O.V

I'm now back on Air Temple Island and heading back to my room.

I see Korra coming over.

Y/N: Hey, Korra.

Korra: Hey. Where have you been?

Y/N: Uh, just had go to talk to Mako. Just guy talk.

Korra: Oh, okay. You'll be at the match later, right?

Y/N: Yeah. I wouldn't miss it. I'll meet you there.

Korra: Okay, good. Well, I better get going.

Y/N: Alright. I'll see you later.

I go to leave.

Korra: Hey, Y/N?

I turn back to her.

Y/N: Yeah?

She pauses for a moment.

Korra: Uh, it's nothing. It can wait.

Y/N: Oh, okay. Let's talk about it later then.
