I wasn't able to see and to talk to Ephraim after the dance because he hurriedly went out because of work. I sighed. I remember my conversation with Ma. Karena. Ephraim is not really vocal with his feelings about me but lately, he's been trying to tell me how he really feels for me. I wonder if he also feels the way Ma. Karena feels? I wonder if he ever thought na sa twelve years, siya iyong nasa tabi ko palagi but here I am always looking at Cyrus.
"Okay! So this part is the surprise gift of the groom to our bride!"
Napalingon si Edniel kay Rust Jay na may pagtataka iyong mukha. Rust Jay gave her a smirked tsaka siya tumingin sa akin na parang proud pa. Kumunot naman iyong noo ko. Napalingon din si Edniel sa akin na parang nagtatanong and I just shrugged dahil hindi ko naman talaga alam kung ano iyong pa surprise gift ni Rust Jay.
"So this story is way back there college life where they were supposed to watch Edniel's favorite band but wasn't able to watch because of someone. And do you know that someone? It is our very handsome groom."
I make a face so does Edniel at nagtawanan kami.
"I was forced to say the last sentence." sabi ni Karencitta kaya naman nagtawanan kaming lahat ng si Rust Jay naman iyong mag make face.
"So Edniel and her friend Queeny would always bring up his mistake every time they get together so to make up to his mistake to his beloved wife, our very handsome groom invited this band and now let's all welcome-"
"OH MY GOD!" parehas kami ng reaction ni Edniel. I never thought that Rust Jay would actually do this!
"Let's all welcome, December Avenue!" Karencitta anounced kaya naman nagtilian kami. Holy shit! December Avenue!
"We all encourage you to stand and to go near the stage as if we were having a concert."
We all stand as what we were told to do so. Nasa harapan na rin sila Edniel at Rust Jay. Katabi ko na silang dalawa ngayon.
"Ang cool ko noh?" proud na sabi ni Rust Jay habang nag pogi sign.
"Naks, Rust Jay! Bawing-bawi talaga!" sabi ko sa kanya sabay bigay sa kanya ng dalawang thumbs up.
"Congratulations to our newly weds! Here's our first song for you!"
"Kung hindi rin lang ikaw ang dahilan, pipilitin ba ang puso kong hindi na masaktan? Kung hindi ikaw ay hindi na lang
Pipilitin pang umasa para sating dalawa?"
Isa ito sa mga paborito kong kanta nila.
"Favorite band mo?" napalingon ako kay Cyrus na nasa tabi ko na pala.
"I don't have a favorite band dahil hindi naman ako mahilig sa mga banda but I just like them." I smiled. "Kilala mo ba sila?" I asked.
"I heard about them but I don't really know them."
"Right. New Yorker." pang-aasar ko sa kanya
"They have a nice voice and their song is nice. I like it." nakangiting sabi ni Cyrus sa tabi ko.
"'Di ba?! You should support OPM songs too!" sabi ko sa kanya.
"I always support OPM. Jaya's one of my favorite opm singers." he said while staring at me.
"You still have so many things to know about me." dagdag niya pa, keeping the eye contact. There goes again my heart.
"Hmm." I nodded and gave him a smile.
"Kung di rin tayo sa huli, aawatin ang sarili na umibig pang muli. Kung di rin tayo sa huli,
aawatin ba ang puso kong ibigin ka?" sumabay ako sa pagkanta nila. Gosh, it's been a long time since I wanted to do this, to sing their songs with them!
