Zerobaseone recently had a comeback with a new album called 'Cinema Paradise' which meant three weeks of promotions. It's been about two weeks since the album was released and the group was now on their third and last promotion week. Stress was high for each member as a new release meant busier schedules but for Ricky, he was feeling more stressed out than the other 8 members. The reason being that ever since Boys Planet ended and zerobaseone was predebut, he developped scoptophobia which is a fear of being stared at. Offstage, Ricky was fine and even with a small group of people looking at him but when onstage, up to thousands of people could be looking at him. It's gotten worse every time they had a performance because they had more fans, which meant more people staring at him. And with this newest comeback, it's at it's worst.

The group's van had just arrived at Show! Music Core and each member hopped out one by one before heading into the building. One of the staff members led zerobaseone towards the dressing and as they passed the entrance to the stage, faint cheers of fans could be heard along with the song of the other kpop group. Ricky tensed up as he could briefly see just how many people would be there, watching him, staring at him. Ricky unknowingly stopped walking and when Hanbin looked back to make sure none of the members were gone, he saw the younger had stopped.

"Ricky, why'd you stop?" the leader told the others to keep going before walking towards Ricky, "We have to go get ready for the stage."

"...Hi~ hyung" Ricky jumped, putting on a fake smile, "I didn't even realize. I was... uh... looking at how many Zerose came to see us and... hmm... I guess I stopped walking... yea, that" he explained.

Hanbin silently examined Ricky with his eyes. Something about the smile Ricky was giving him seemed a bit off but it could've just been because he scared his dongsaeng. Hanbin brushed it off and proceeded to act like that didn't happen.

"Okay... you can do that after we have our outfits on though but first, let's go get ready."

"'Kay, Hanbinnie hyung" Ricky replied.

Hanbin seemed to have believed Ricky, which felt like a huge relief. There was no way he'd tell his fellow members about this phobia. Hanbin grabbed Ricky's wrist to pull him to their waiting room, Ricky almost falling from the sudden force. He let the older drag him to where the other zerobaseone members were as he kept the picture of how many people were there. Ricky wanted so much to rip his hand out of Hanbin's grasp and run back to the van but Ricky knew that he'd be easily caught. And if he told the members, they'd just make fun of him so the best option, would be to just stay silent and get through the performance.

Hanbin lightly pushed Ricky in front of him and into the waiting room where the other members were, Taerae and Yujin already dressed and getting their makeup done while Jiwoong was probably getting dressed as he couldn't be seen. Ricky sat himself down at the edge of the couch but stood up soon after as he was called to get ready. While changing into his stage outfit in the dressing room attached, the photo came back and Ricky slowly sank to the ground, trying to slow his breathing. A wave of nervousness and fear rushed over him which caused him to pause and regain his regular breathing. It'd be embarrassing for someone to find him in the dressing room having a panic attack which means, Ricky would have to come clean and say he had scoptophobia.

After a few minutes of deep breathing, Ricky calmed down and he finished getting on the final pieces of the outfit. Even though the outfit fit Ricky perfectly, it felt way too small for him. The shirt felt as if it was cutting off his oxygen, the pants feeling so tight that he could barely walk, the jewellery and accessories cutting off his circulation. Ricky shook his head, trying to get rid of the nervousness that didn't want to leave. He wasn't gonna let this happen to him, nope, absolutely not. Just get through the performance, head back to the dorm, then cry himself to sleep. Silently, of course, so the members wouldn't ask why he was crying. A sudden loud thumping noise made Ricky jump and turn his head towards the door.
