Jisung has recently been getting over a bad cold that resulted in him going on a two-week hiatus for the sake of his (and NCTzen)'s health. It was a regular cold that Jisung wasn't affected much by at the start but his hyungs made him stay back in the Dream dorm. Good thing they did because a week after when Renjun, Jaemin, Jeno and Chenle all came home, Jisung was practically dying. Well, dying's a bit of an exaggeration. NCT Dream came home to find their youngest sprawled across his bed only having the energy to attempt breathing. It was as if all energy was ripped out of him and he was now a lifeless body. Jisung also had this fever that got worse and worse the more days passed. It was no question that the maknae was suffering.

Over time, Jisung's cold had gotten better enough for the idol to be released from his hiatus and start up his schedules again. He's been giving NCTzen updates on his health and to not worry them, Jisung said he was back to feeling normal. Jisung wasn't fully feeling better though, still having a pestering cough which made it hard for him to breathe at times and some nausea but it wasn't really serious. So, the older Dreamies allowed him to go back to his schedule only if it wasn't super demanding. The staff too had made sure to keep Jisung's schedules tame.

NCT Dream was getting ready to leave for a couple interviews regarding 'Dreamscape' but Jisung wasn't so sure about joining them. You know how I mentioned in the previous paragraph that Jisung's cold was slowly getting better? Yeah, well... not anymore. Jisung going back to his schedule somehow reversed this recovery process as he started feeling like shit again a day after. His cough, which was making it hard to breathe from time to time, made his breathing very uneven. Jisung would have to take breaks more often than before but always said it was just part of the recovery process. The maknae's nausea had also led to him feeling the need to throw up as well as a big loss of appetite that made his chest hurt even more when coughing. He was in his room, almost done getting dressed when another bad coughing fit overtook the idol.

"Jisung?" Jeno burst into his dongsaeng's room after hearing his coughing, "That cough sounds like it's getting pretty bad."

Jisung hadn't even noticed Jeno entered his room, "Hyung, *Cough x2* you scared me!"

"Sorry 'bout that, but back to why I'm here. That cough... are you sure this is part of the recovery? It doesn't sound like you're getting better."

"Honestly, I don't even know anymore" Jisung admitted, "I felt fine before but it seems like this cold's just coming back."

The older had to pause to think, "Hmm, do you think you can stand leaving the dorm today?"

"*Cough^2* I wanna try, at least."

"Do you feel well enough, though? Or do you think you should take the day off?" Jeno leaned against the doorway.

"...yea?"

"That sounded like a question, not an answer."

"I do, Jeno hyung. I do" Jisung nodded.

Jeno matched the nod with his own, "But I'm telling the other members to keep a close eye on you today."

Jeno told the other members over breakfast, except for Mark and Haechan, who he texted in their group chat about Jisung's condition getting worse. Jisung was told (basically the same thing by everyone) to take it as slow as he could and speak up if he needed to go home. Right after breakfast and another coughing fit by Jisung, the five members got into the van waiting for them. During the ride, Jisung finished off his entire water bottle in hopes to help it dull his stomach pain.
