Mingi was never one who particularly enjoyed winter, nor did he really enjoy the time in general. It wasn't that he disliked the snow or found the season too cold for him, he didn't mind it. But, he disliked the season because it brought along some not-so-great moments and memories, ones Mingi tried pushing far away in the back of his mind. Around winter and Christmas time, Mingi had this small ache in his heart which only went away in early spring. He felt lonely around these times since he was a soloist in the kpop industry and therefore didn't spend the holiday with anyone under KQ entertainment but also because his parents never really approved of him becoming an idol. So, with no group members or family to celebrate the holiday with, Mingi was often found by himself.

The soloist just had a long and grueling day of dance practice and recording songs for his upcoming 2nd album. Mingi was exhausted, to say the least, considering his schedule wouldn't usually be this bad for a comeback. It was only this bad because KQ was giving him 2 weeks off and wanted to get in as much as possible before his break. At the end of the day, it was pretty late and Mingi really only had time to shower and go to bed. However, his mind has been quite packed with a bunch of thoughts and feelings so he chose to walk back to his apartment instead. On the way there, there was this park that Mingi wanted to spend a couple minutes there just thinking. His manager, being skeptical about this, offered to walk with Mingi but the idol refused and said he'd be careful.

Mingi bundled up in a jacket, gloves, boots, headphones (for both music and warmth) before stepping outside. A light snowfall was happening as Mingi walked, tiny flakes of snow collecting on the ground as they fell from the sky. No one else could be seen outside right now, leaving a scent of calmness and peace in the air. Mingi kept walking, snow crunching under his boots as flakes of snow rested on his blond, almost white hair. He came across the park 10 minutes into the walk and found it empty. Unsurprising, considering it was winter and Christmas was in a week.

Mingi was heading towards a bench to sit and just think but another figure sitting there spooked him. It was a man, sitting with his arms wrapped around his body seemingly for warmth. He gazed up at the falling snow, dark brown bangs framing his face in a way Mingi was captivated by. He had this... familiarity to him, like Mingi had known this guy for years and yet, he's never seen this guy before. The way he seemed so calm, so peaceful among the snow made him seem all the more mysterious and alluring. Without thinking, Mingi walked over to the man and stopped a few feet away from him.

"Cold night, huh?" Mingi spoke, followed by a nervous laugh.

He didn't even know why he started the conversation, he didn't know what he wanted to say. He just started it.

"Yea, it is" the man looks up and gives Mingi a warm smile, "But, I don't really mind the cold. I like how quiet it is with all the snow. It feels... peaceful, in a way."

Mingi slowly nods in agreement, "Hmm, yea. I guess I never really noticed that before."

After Mingi spoke, the atmosphere around the two of them fell silent again. Mingi stood in place as the man kept his spot on the bench and they both stayed in silence, watching the snowfall. There was a slight hint of comfort between their silence which both men seemed to like. Mingi looked back at the man with an itch to say something more to him, something he might not tell anyone else but the words stayed in the back of his mind. There was something to this man that Mingi couldn't quite place, something that made him wanna spend more time together. Instead of speaking, the soloist took the spot on the bench beside the man while also leaving a couple inches of space between them.
