Yeonjun was excited for their upcoming day off for one reason– not just that they were getting a day off –but that all the members except him were gonna be leaving the dorm. See, Yeonjun loved the others, seeing them everyday helped keep him alive besides meeting MOA. So it wasn't that they were leaving and he could be away from them because he didn't like them but everyone leaving meant that he could do something he was apprehensive about showing them, something the idol always chose to do in secret. Slipping into his headspace.

Little Junnie was far different from Yeonjun in his big headspace; it was hard to believe that the two were the same person. Being one of the more extroverted members in TXT, Yeonjun was outgoing, lively, a little talkative but little Junnie was the complete opposite. The little was extremely introverted, spent most of the time in his room when little, didn't own much for fear of being discovered and rarely talked (even to himself). It seemed stupid to Yeonjun that this was the biggest reason why he hadn't told his dongsaengs yet. His little side was just too scared to let them know "Hey, yeah, your oldest member has been hiding me for years. I exist now!". He opted for staying in hiding and letting the four others go unaware of him.

The oldest member could barely hide his excitement from his dongsaengs without making it come off as rude. During dinner the night before, Yeonjun was able to discreetly lead a conversation into talking about what they'd all be doing the next day. From there, he let the other members take over while he focused on his food and occasionally chimed in with his plan for tomorrow as well as some short replies to the others. Soobin did seem to catch on a tiny bit that Yeonjun was being a little quieter than normal. Yeonjun's heart rate jumped up a bit that Soobin figured out what he was doing and with nothing coming to mind, Yeonjun just said he was tired. Not the best excuse nor the most convincing but somehow, Soobin let it slide and ignored the older's scared look.

Yeonjun woke up the next morning with a small part of him already little– little enough that he could fully slip at any moment but big enough that he could fake feeling younger until his dongsaengs left. His first instinct when he realized he was slipping though was to barricade the door, bury himself under the covers and wait for the click of the lock from the front door to sound out. But then the thought of hiding in his room started showing its true colours to the idol. Just sitting in his bed with the covers draped over his legs felt cozy, warm and comforting and only made him feel even younger. He wanted to stay in his bed and wait although he'd still try to stay big– at least until the other members left –but staying in here for too long could concern them more than last night.

Yeonjun looked over to the floor to his left, where a certain bear plushie was sitting, leaning back against his nightstand. TXT knew that Yeonjun owned this plushie and wasn't afraid of leaving it out in the open but the thing they didn't know was how close little Junnie was to it. He loved it, kept the plushie as close as possible when he was little, treated it like he was the little's best (and only) friend. A smile snuck its way onto Yeonjun's face as an idea came to his mind that he knew the beige bear would be proud of.

'Okay, Truffle. I'll go, I'll do it for you... but I'm coming back as soon as they're gone. I promise.'

He switched places with Truffle, resting him where he was previously sitting and covering him with a blanket so he could have some comfort until Yeonjun got back. The idol made his way out of his room into the quiet hallway where he could hear the voices of the other members and the faded sizzling of breakfast in the background. Everyone else seemed to already be awake and he was the last one which wasn't uncommon but Yeonjun usually wasn't the last person awake. 'C'mon, Junnie' he muttered to himself as he focused on just setting one foot in front of the other. First left, then right, left next, then right again. And repeat over and over until Yeonjun was visible enough from the kitchen entrance for Taehyun to notice him.
