Matthew could feel every bit of anxiety as it crept up on him with each passing day, gradually growing, and he wasn't liking it one bit. Stopping him from focusing on 'Blue Paradise' promotions by interrupting his ability to dance well, making him mess up at least once for every performance; making his voice while singing sound tense and restrictive– a sound Matthew has almost never experienced before; cooping the idol up in his room to only see the other members during their schedules and occasionally if one of the members proposed to hang out after the day was done.

All because they had a mini fanmeet scheduled in the US and he'd be around a crowd of people at the airport.

The isolating-himself-in-his-room method wasn't working because one of the others would barge into his room minutes after without a clue he was panicking because Matthew didn't tell them he was agoraphobic. He couldn't tell them now though. He's been hiding it since Boys Planet and they'd probably get angry because he hid this big secret from them. But, shouldn't you tell someone of a phobia you have that's been so bad recently that you sit alone in your room on the verge of a panic attack almost every single day? Well, that's not what Matthew was thinking nor was it where his mind went to this past week.

And nor was it on Matthew's mind the morning they had to head to the airport for said fanmeet. What was in it's place was how hard it actually was gonna be to keep this from zb1 until they arrived in America. Because while the group of nine was getting ready to depart their respective dorms, Hanbin just showed up out of nowhere to check if they were ready and he commented on how quieter Matthew was being than his norm. And when they were in the van taking them to the airport, Matthew sat himself in the front, away from the others because he couldn't find it in himself to talk at that moment. He stared out the window, watching everything pass by as they drew closer and closer, listening to the future voices in his head of everyone who'd be there.

"-yung, hyung... Ya! Matthew!"

Matthew sprang to his feet, almost banging his head on the window as Gunwook stood right in front of him. From what Matthew could see, him and his dongsaeng were the only ones left in the van; everyone else must already be outside.

"Did you fall asleep or something? We've been parked at the airport for the past five minutes and everyone's waiting outside."

"Sorry, I zoned out and I guess I didn't notice the van stopping" Matthew brought up his hand to pull on the hem of his sweater, which had started feeling tighter than normal.

"Well, pack up your things then and let's get going. The others are still waiting and lots of Zerose came to see us off" Gunwook ended with a smile that only scared Matthew more.

'Lots, huh. That- Surely he's exaggerating, right? There can't be that many people outside, right?' It's gonna be fine... right?!'

Gunwook waved his hand in front of Matthew's face, seeing as the latter was zoning out again. When he snapped back to reality, Gunwook only told him to hurry outside before joining his fellow members and leaving his hyung as the last in the van. As much as Matthew knew he was gonna regret leaving the van as soon as he stepped foot on the ground, it was too late to back out now and he felt it was better to push himself to go rather than explain everything at the last minute.

Following Gunwook soon after packing up his things, Matthew pushed himself right up against the side of the van and cast his eyes downwards. The idol was just now realizing that instead of Gunwook overestimating how many people would be waiting, the younger was actually underestimating and by the looks of it, it was by a lot. Maybe he saw how anxious Matthew was and tried making him feel better instead of just making a comment but even if that was the case, no way in hell would it have worked. Because the staff, the fans, even the rest of zb1, they were all way too close for his liking and– wait... since when did Zerose get this close to him? And last time Matthew checked, the closest person to him was Jiwoong at a few feet away, not a few inches.
