Little: Hyunjin

After what seemed like hours of walking, Hyunjin finally came across a large clearing. He made his way out of the trees, head perking up at some noises coming from the clearing. The little stood in his spot, completely frozen as he watched both of his caregivers get ripped to shreds, each by a giant monster. Tears started streaming down Hyunjin's face, the boy screaming at the monsters in front of him to stop hurting his caregivers.

"Nuh! Stop!" Hyunjin ran up to the monster closest to him and tried pulling it away by it's leg, "Nuh huwt appa an' dada! Stop, chu monstew!"

The monster Hyunjin was trying to pull away turned it's upper body towards Hyunjin and took one short look at him before kicking it's leg and sending the little flying across the clearing. Hyunjin slammed into the ground before letting out a loud wail that echoed throughout the whole forest. The impact hurt as there was nothing nor no one to cushion the fall but what hurt even more was watching Chanyeon and Jiseok die. His caregivers always told him he's allowed to cry and doesn't have to be so tough but right now, little Jinnie told himself he needed to stop crying and save the already dead duo.

Hyunjin wiped away the tears that kept falling then ran right at the monster. He could see Jiseok's lifeless remains in it's hands and Chanyeon's in the other monster's hands. By now, both monsters noticed the little and dropped Chanyeon and Jiseok onto the floor before going to attack Hyunjin. As they inched closer to Hyunjin, he realized just how scary they really were and immediately turned to run in the other direction. The two monsters caught up to Hyunjin rather quickly and the first one tackled Hyunjin to the ground. Hyunjin tried fighting it off but he wasn't strong enough. The second monster came into Hyunjin's view and the two started beating up the poor little. Hyunjin screamed for help from anyone before stopping when the two monsters started speaking to him. And to his surprise, the voices were Jiseok's and Chanyeon's.

"Stop being little, it's so annoying."

"Such an attention seeker."

"We never loved you."

"You don't deserve to be an idol."

"So untalented."

"Just give up already."

"Die" the Jiseok-voiced monster growled before punching Hyunjin hard and knocking him out.

Hyunjin shot up in his bed, ragged breathing as he tried making sense of what just happened. For the first few seconds, Hyunjin couldn't remember where he was but eventually, he recognized it as his bedroom. While Hyunjin focused on calming himself down, he slowly slipped into his headspace and grabbed little Jinnie's favourite plushie. He kept a tight grip on the bear which didn't seem to help because as soon as Hyunjin's mind wandered back to the nightmare he just had, tears rolled down the little's cheeks. Hyunjin was so scared that something happened to his appa and dada, that the monsters did kill them. He wanted to check on them and make sure they're okay.

Just like his little self in the nightmare, Hyunjin wiped away the tears, leaving his eyes still red and puffy. The little reached over to his nightstand, slipping on the hearing aid. Hyunjin swung his legs over the bed and onto the floor before standing up and leaving his bedroom. He tripled-checked the hallway then quietly ran to his appa, Chanyeon's room so as to not alert any monsters that may be hiding from him. Hyunjin opened the door to see Chanyeon turned away from him, facing the wall as he slept. The way Chanyeon was positioned, Hyunjin couldn't see his caregiver breathing. The little lightly tapped Chanyeon before calling out to him.
