Crystal's POV
Forbidden City
"WOAH," everyone remarked as they all set foot into the castle. Even I did, letting the wind hit my hair. This place was the textbook definition of regal! The space was wide and vast, a concrete version of our school field. And there was the stairs leading into the castle, which was definitely made out of marble. I let my hair loose to absorb the moment, as we stepped into the castle. The tour guide talked about how this place was closed off for the public and I could understand why. It was preserved from the past, the textiles filled with Chinese patterns exclusive to China. I have never been this close to my own culture until that moment, and it's a moment etched in my mind.
Mrs Nur's POV
Another Chinese restaurant
"One chow mein," the waiter announced and placed the chow mein on my table. I picked up a fork and whipped the noodles around, letting one bite into my mouth. The soy sauce tasted salty and savoury at the same time! The noodles were soft and chewy too, so the chefs definitely did a good job cooking the noodles. The chilli was a perfect touch, giving me the vitamins I need to stay healthy in a unique way. Who cares if it's spicy? Not like I care, I eat a lot of it.
Mdm Yeo's POV
Summer Palace
As the concrete touched my feet, I looked around the place I grew up in, and a wash of nostalgia coursed through me. This place really hasn't changed; built with normal materials like bricks and cement to make it complete. Yet the atmosphere felt so different from when I was a teenager going on school trips to Beijing. In the past, I was talking to my friends about what I consider unimportant and fleeting now. But now, I was observing the younger generation learn more about our current generation...a single teardrop fell from my eye.
Simon's POV
Another Chinese restaurant
Steamboat! To celebrate our last day on the trip, we were going to have a steamboat dinner. Crystal was cooking for everyone thanks to her experience in Girl Guides, and of course she was playing mother hen first, making sure everyone had their favourite foods before eating her portion of the dinner. As if she studied everyone's favourite foods, she managed to get everyone's favourites, making the table feel a little warmer than before.
As for me, the highlight was the pork and vegetable soup we worked to cook together. I took a slurp into the soup, and it has a light soya sauce to it. The pork followed soon after, with a leathery yet chewy taste. And I finished the soup with the crunch yet soft vegetables, giving me a newfound appreciation for steamboat.
Ethan's POV
Sounveir shop
The first toy that caught my eye was a white wolf. Its beady eyes and furry front beckoned to me, so I couldn't help but take him off the shelf for myself. And then, Crystal decided to look for something to buy for her family and friends. As always; but since I was near the bunny plushies, I picked up two and passed them to her.

Ethan: Wait, you should take this.
Crystal: Oh really? I was going to get Chloe a cat...
Ethan: One for you, one for Chloe. You always loved bunnies. Remember that moment I visited you at your house? Your bed was literally filled with plushies, so I knew I had to get it for you.
Crystal: blushes Ahaha thanks!
Ethan: What are you blushing for? You always worry about others' happiness. Like I saw you try and take 8 keychains. So for once, maybe you should get something for yourself, and yourself for.
Crystal: About the blushing...I wasn't expecting to be gifted in public.
Ethan: But both plushies are cute, just like your whole existence.
Crystal: WILL YOU CUT IT OUT? WE'RE IN PUBLIC!
